Chidwick revealed {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for top pair, while Eveslage flashed {k-}{j-} before mucking his cards.

On the second draw, John Racener and Brian Rast both took one while Nacho Barbero patted. The action checked to Barbero and he bet, earning two calls. Racener took one and his two opponents patted. The bet of Racener then resulted in a fold from Rast while Barbero reluctantly called.

Racener turned over the {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Barbero mucked. "I folded an eight, can't call there when you pat behind me," Rast exclaimed in table chat.

In a battle of the blinds on the {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, Robert Campbell bet 8,000 out of the small blind and received a call by Yuri Dzivielevski in the big blind. The {10-Clubs} on the turn was checked by both players and Campbell then bet the {2-Spades} on river for 22,000. Dzivielevski mulled over his decision for a short while and called to get shown {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} by Campbell. That ended up as the winning hand as the reigning WSOP Player of the Year pulled ahead of Dzivielevski in the counts.
