Cohen Getting Shorter

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Avi Cohen called in middle position and it folded to the big blind who raised to 48,000. After some consideration, Cohen decided to call.

The flop came {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the big blind announced all in for a remaining stack around 86,000, putting Cohen at risk for his last 79,000. Cohen went deep into the tank and eventually folded.

Barbero Busts Short of the Money

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Nacho Barbero moved all in for 129,000 before the flop and was up against Ryan Robinson.

Nacho Barbero: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Ryan Robinson: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

"I like my odds," Barbero said even though he was dominated. The {6-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} gave him a pair of aces, but Robinson won the pot with his king-kicker to knock out Barbero a few spots out of the money.

Double Up for Virdgavand

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Tony Virdgavand opened to 35,000 and a player made the call. The cutoff three-bet to 120,000 and Virdgavand decided to shove for 179,000. It folded back to the cutoff who quickly called.

Tony Virdgavand: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The board brought no surprise with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Virdgavand got the double up.

Alex Livingston raised from under the gun and was called by both Brian Rast on the button and the big blind. Action checked to Livingston on the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, and he continued for 27,000.

Only Rast called to see the {8-Diamonds} fall on the turn. This time Livingston announced he was all in for around 150,000. Rast gave it some thought but eventually released his hand.

Esposito Takes it on the Flop

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

No Limit Hold'em

On a three-way raised pot, the flop showed {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} when John Esposito checked in the blinds and so did Stefan Schillhabel. Mike Watson, on the button, bet 20,000 and Esposito tanked for some time before tossing a pile of 5,000-chips in front of him.

Schillhabel and Watson quickly let it go and Esposito added the chips to his stack.

Somerville Takes Out Vieira

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

In the first hand back from break, Joao Vieira shoved for his last 70,000 from under the gun and Jason Somerville called from the small blind.

"Good luck guys," Vieira said, pretending to walk away from the table before even showing his hand. He had {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for Somerville.

Vieira picked up a flush draw on the turn but missed the river on a board of {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, hitting the rail just short of the money.
