Lin Busts One

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

The action started with a raise to 1,200 from Ren Lin in the hijack and a three-bet to 3,000 from the player next to him. It came back to Lin who made the call.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Lin first checked. His opponent bet 4,500 and Lin raised it to 9,000, called by his opponent.

Things heated up on the {9-Clubs} turn. Lin checked and his opponent shoved for 16,500 chips left. Lin called and they revealed their cards:

Opponent: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Ren Lin: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The {9-Hearts} fell on the river, improving Lin's hand into a full house and his opponent made his way to the exit.

Lucky River for Smith

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

In a three-bet pot containing around 24,000, the flop showed {j-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} when Cheryl Svenson checked from the blinds. Eunyoung Choi and Chris Smith did the same.

The turn brought more action with the {9-Hearts}. Smith shoved for 32,200 and Choi folded to Svenson who announced the call.

Chris Smith: {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Cheryl Svenson: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Smith was in bad shape for his tournament's life, Svenson holding the nut flush, but a {4-Spades} hit the river to give a full house to Smith and the double up.

"It's for charity!" said Svenson jokingly.
