Kupresanian Tries To Bluff Exposed Hand

Level 23

In a bizarre series of actions on seventh street between Peder Berge and Joseph Kupresanin, Berge mistakenly thought the action had been checked to him and he exposed his hand, when in fact Kupresanian had not yet acted.

Berge had tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}/{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for just a pair of eights versus Kupresanian's board which read {x-}{x-}/{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Kupresanian bet out, obviously in hopes of Berge folding his pair, but when Berge called, Kupresanian frustratedly tossed his cards into the muck, awarding the pot to Berge.

Esther Taylor: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}/{x-}
John Racener: {x-}{x-}/{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}/{x-}

Esther Taylor bet through to seventh street, with John Racener calling all the way. Taylor showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for trip eights and Racener mucked.

"Bracelet incoming," Espen Sandvik said as Taylor took the tournament chip lead.

Eric Crain

All the cards were on their back as Eric Crain was all in and up against John Racener and John Evans.

Crain finished with {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of fours, Racener had {9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of fives, while Evans had {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} to win the pot with a pair of queens and bust Crain in 20th place.

Charles Sinn Eliminated in 19th Place ($3,773); Nathan Gamble Eliminated in 18th Place ($3,773)

Level 23

A pair of bustouts at identical times just took place, leaving the tournament one elimination from the two-table redraw.

At one table, Charles Sinn couldn't improve an ace-king high versus Jeffrey Mitsiff's pair of jacks, which improved to jacks and sevens.

Meanwhile, Nathan Gamble's two pair was run down by John Monnette who started with four to a seven high-straight and hit an eight to make both the straight and a low.

Jeffrey Mitseff Eliminated in 17th Place ($3,773)

Level 23
Jeffrey Mitseff
Jeffrey Mitseff

Back-to-back hands have eliminated Jeffrey Mitseff from the tournament.

First versus John Hoang, action picked up on sixth street with Mitseff calling bets from Hoang on sixth and seventh street.

Jeffrey Mitseff: {x-}{x-}/{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}/{x-}
John Hoang: {x-}{x-}/{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}/{x-}

Hoang turned up {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a queen-high straight and the winner, which dropped Mitseff under 100,000.

Mitseff then got the last of his chips in against Jermaine Reid and Carol Fuchs.

Jeffrey Mitseff: {x-}{x-}/{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}/{x-}
Jermaine Reid: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Carol Fuchs: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Mitseff couldn't beat either Reid's two pair for high or Fuchs' eight-five for low, and he's been sent to the rail, leaving just 16 players in the tournament.

Perry Friedman: {x-}{x-}/{8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}/{x-}

Jeremy Kottler bet on fourth street and Perry Friedman called. John Monnette then raised and both opponents called. Monnette bet again on fifth and sixth street, with Friedman and Kottler sticking around to see seventh.

Friedman and Monnette checked before Kottler gave a dejected look and mucked his cards. Monnette had {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for the low while Friedman had a pair of eights with {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

"All I needed was a pair," Kottler said. He was left with less than 100,000 and was eliminated a few hands later.

Michael Moon Eliminated in 15th Place ($4,371)

Level 24
Michael Moon
Michael Moon

Michael Moon was all-in on fifth street facing two potential executioners in Carol Fuchs and Richard Bremer.

Michael Moon: {x-}{x-}/{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}/{x-}
Richard Bremer: {x-}{x-}/{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}/{x-}
Carol Fuchs: {x-}{x-}/{8-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}/{x-}

Action was checked down, and Bremer showed {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a pair of queens, while Fuchs showed {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair, eights and fours. Moon was drawing to a wheel or a low, but could only catch the {9-Diamonds} on the end to be eliminated from the tournament.
