Friedman's Prayers Are Answered As He Busts Chad

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

Big O

Shortly before this hand, Adam Friedman loudly prayed to be the one to bust Norman Chad, even offering to finish in 16th place, because "it would be totally worth it".

His prayers were answered shortly after as Chad raised all-in in early position for 27,000 and was called in the small blind by Friedman.

Norman Chad: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Adam Friedman: {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The flop of {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} gave Chad the lead with a pair of fours to go along with a straight draw.

A {9-Diamonds} was seemingly no help until the {9-Clubs} fell on the river, giving Friedman nines full of deuces, eliminating the legendary poker commentator and mixed-game aficionado.

5 Card Draw

Mike Wattel moved all-in from late position for approximately 75,000 and was called in the big blind by Kevin Gerhart.

Gerhart showed {8-}{8-}{a-}{x-}{x-} and drew two, while Wattel showed {2-}{3-}{4-}{5-} and drew one card, hoping to make a straight.

Wattel instead paired his deuce and was eliminated from the tournament.

Chad Doubles Through Friedman

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Norman Chad was at risk preflop with a very short stack against Adam Friedman.

Norman Chad: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Adam Friedman: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop gave Friedman the top two pair and Chad exclaimed "what the fuck is that?" He then spiked the {j-Hearts} on the turn and Friedman shot back "what the fuck was that?" with a grin on the face. Nothing changed on the {5-Diamonds} river and Friedman insisted that the coverage should read all the money went in after the flop.

Gamble Sends Hellmuth Into a Rant

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Nathan Gamble
Nathan Gamble

Razz

Nathan Gamble just won a large pot from the Poker Brat and sent him into a litany of F-bombs at the table.

Nathan Gamble: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{7-}{q-}{j-}/{x-}
Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{10-}{7-}{9-}/{x-}

Gamble and Hellmuth each put in bets on third, fourth, and sixth streets, then Gamble bet seventh, sending Hellmuth into the tank.

Hellmuth cut out a raise, but then tossed in calling chips, declaring that he had "a pretty good seven".

Gamble rolled over {4-}{2-}{a-} in the hole for a better seven than Hellmuth. Gamble's stack now soars toward the chip lead while Hellmuth dropped about a quarter of his stack.

Eli Elezra: {x-}{x-} / {3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Clubs} fold
