Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Pierre Calamusa raised to 600 from under the gun and then called the 2,000 three-bet Samy Salah made from the next seat over.

The flop came {q-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Calamusa check-called the 2,000 continuation bet from Salah bringing the {q-Clubs} turn.

Calamusa check-called another 5,400 bet and the {6-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Calamusa checked one last time but folded after Salah fired out 11,000.

Holsonback Catches Watson Bluffing

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Johnathan Holsonback and Mike Watson had built up a pot of more than 20,000 by the river with the board showing {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}. Holsonback checked to Watson from under the gun and Watson put out a bet of 18,000.

Holsonback tanked for several minutes before calling. Watson showed {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for missed straight and flush draws, while Holsonback took the pot with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

"We have two more hands at this level. Play them carefully," a tablemate joked afer this pot took up nearly half the first level.

Fast and Furious $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty Begins at 3 p.m. PST

Defending champion Brian Green

Blink and you might miss the action today when Event #76: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em begins at 3 p.m. PST.

Blinds will increase every 20 minutes in this fast structure. The starting stack of 60,000 chips will be worth 10 big blinds after just five hours of play. The plan for today is to whittle down the initial field to the five final players who will return tomorrow to play down to a champion.

The $10,000 buy-in ensures this event will feature a steady flux of high-profile players. In 2019, Brian Green outlasted 204 players to win this tournament, defeating Ali Imsirovic heads-up for $345,669. That final table also included Asher Conniff, Loren Klein, Daniel Negreanu, and Cary Katz.

In 2018, the first year this event was featured on the schedule, Elio Fox won his second WSOP bracelet over a stacked final table including Paul Volpe, Alex Foxen, and Joe Cada. The previous Super Turbo Bounty events at the 2021 WSOP were won by Michael Perrone and Karolis Sereika, with Pierre Calamusa making the final table of both events.
