Gunchev Doubles Over Big Slick

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player in the hijack opened to 1,200, the button called, and Nikola Gunchev jammed for 17,400 in the small blind. The hijack called and the button folded.

Nikola Gunchev: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Hijack: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Gunchev had live cards and jumped ahead on the {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. The {9-Diamonds} turn left him just needing to fade an ace or a king, and the {6-Hearts} river confirmed his double.

Pat Lyons Rivers a Straight Flush

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Pat Lyons
Pat Lyons

Known as "World famous" Pat Lyons was involved in a hand. You may remember him from this year's interview on PokerNews in the Main Event in which he went all-in blind and won the hand live on air.

The hand was picked up on the turn with the board showing {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Lyons checked from the small blind to the only other player big blind.

The big blind bet 3,100 and Lyons who said "I only meant to call I swear to God" raised to 6,200 after he was told he couldn't get change from the 5,000 chip he put in because he also put in 200 in black (100 chips).

The big blind raised all-in for about 10,000 and Lyons made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Big Blind:{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Pat Lyons: {6-Spades}{3-Spades}

The river was {5-Spades} giving Lyons hit a straight flush and eliminating a player from the tournament.

Vanessa Kade Eliminates a Player

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Vanessa Kade
Vanessa Kade

All the chips got in the middle between a player and Vanessa Kade who had her opponent covered.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Vanessa Kade: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board would run out {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades} which would be no help to Kade's opponent and she would scoop in the nice pot to put her at around 60,000 in chips.

De Souza Knocks Out Two

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Aladin Reskallah and another player got their chips in preflop against Mario De Souza Jr, who had them both covered.

Opponent: {q-Spades}{7-Spades}
Aladin Reskallah: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Mario De Souza Jr: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop kept Reskallah ahead, but the {k-Spades} came on the turn. The {4-Clubs} completed the board to confirm the two eliminations as De Souza scooped the pot.
