The second and final flight of Event #83: $1,500 The Closer is set to begin at 11 a.m. local time at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

In Day 1a, 802 players started the day and only 25 ended the day with a stack for Day 2. Osman Ihlamur bagged the chip lead with 1,765,000 chips. Some other notables who bagged a stack include Kenny Hallaert (1,250,000), Chris Moorman (1,250,000), and Stephen Song (535,000).

All players will start with 25,000 chips and Day 1b will play a total of 22 levels with each level lasting 30 minutes. There will be a 20-minute break every 4 levels and a 75-minute dinner break after level 12 (~5:40 p.m.). One re-entry is allowed per flight and late registration will remain open until the end of the dinner break (~6:55 p.m.).

Smith showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for quad tens while his opponent had {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight.

Ori Hasson was spotted in a hand on the river with the board showing {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

The pot was already over 9,500 in chips and a player checked to the only other player in the hand Hasson.

Hasson bet 7,800 and his opponent tanked before making the call and Hasson showed {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for two-pair which was good and he scooped the pot.
