George Holmes

David Cabrera raised to 425,000 and was called by Stephen Gerber and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos in the big blind. The {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop was checked by Kiriopoulos and Cabrera bet 525,000, which was called by Gerber only. After the {q-Clubs} turn, Cabrera fired another bet worth 1.7 million and Gerber folded deuces face-up. The Spaniard returned the favour and flashed the {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Apparently, Gerber had used that hand in a previous hand between them and that was the pay back.

In the next hand, Cabrera raised to 425,000 and Roongsak Griffeth flat-called in the cutoff, as did George Holmes in the big blind. Following a {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Holmes check-raised a bet of 500,000 by Griffeth to 1.7 million and Cabrera folded while Griffeth called.

The {2-Clubs} turn brought a bet worth two million by Holmes to receive a snap-call by Griffeth and he then reluctantly bet the {7-Clubs} river for four million. Griffeth tank-folded and was shown the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the nuts by Holmes.
