Chen and Spears Win Without Showdown

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pete Chen raised to 25,000 on the button and the big blind called to see a {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, which went check, check. On the {10-Diamonds} turn, the big blind checked once more and Chen's bet worth 42,000 went through without resistance.

One hand later, Andy Spears opened to 25,000 and the very same opponent flat-called in the small blind. Heads-up to the {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, the small blind check-called for 20,000 and then check-folded the {a-Clubs} turn when facing another bet worth 50,000 by Spears.

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Anton Wigg
Anton Wigg

In a limped pot out of the blinds, Anton Wigg bet the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop for 18,000 and the big blind raised to 36,000. Wigg then clicked it back to 87,000 and the big blind called.

Following the {8-Spades} turn, Wigg opted to check and the big blind made it 275,000 to go. "It's okay, I am all-in," Wigg announced as he was covered by the large bet of his table neighbour.

Anton Wigg: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Big blind: {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Wigg only had to fear three jacks in the deck and further improved to a flush on the {4-Spades} river, securing the double up for 254,000.

Dragana Lim
Dragana Lim

Nicholas Rigby limped under the gun, Dragana Lim made it 40,000 from under the gun plus one. Terry Boutcher ripped all in for about 200,000 from middle position. Rigby called as did Lim.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Rigby checked and Lim made a massive jam all in. Rigby went deep into the tank and thought it out for several moments before he eventually folded.

Lim had the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} while Boutcher had the {10-Hearts}{10-}.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and the river the {a-Diamonds} to hit Lim and send Boutcher to the rail.

Chidwick Soars with a Monster Pot

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick raised to 26,000 in early position and was called by the player on his left. Georgios Sotiropoulos three-bet to 98,000 in the hijack and the action came back to Chidwick who four-bet to 225,000. The player stuck in the middle let his hand go and Sotiropoulos just called.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Chidwick led out with a bet of 75,000. Sotiropoulos called and the {6-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Chidwick made a slightly larger bet of 125,000 and Sotiropoulos came along for the {9-Clubs} on the river.

Chidwick pushed out a bet of 600,000, enough to cover the 421,000 chips Sotiropoulos had in front of him. After thinking for a brief moment, Sotiropoulos made the call. Chidwick turned over {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for two pair which was enough to send Sotiropoulos to the rail with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Weinman Wins, Fernandez Loses

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Daniel Weinman raised it up from middle position and was called by the small blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and the small blind checked to Weinman who continued for 48,000.

The small blind called and the {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Weinman counted out another bet of 132,000 which finally got his opponent to fold.

At the neighbouring table, the button opened to 24,000 and Sergio Fernandez defended from the big blind. On a board of {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Fernandez check-called bet of 13,000 on the flop, 57,000 on the turn, and 170,000 on the river. His opponent showed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a full house and Fernandez was forced to concede the pot.

Johnson showed {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top pair but Lonis held a better made hand of {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to win the pot.
