Event #23: $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout Kicks Off at 4:30 p.m. PT

The 2022 Online World Series of Poker is back with some no limit hold'em action today as Event #23: $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout gets underway at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (or 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time for New Jersey residents). Players will start with 20,000 in chips and blinds will increase every 15 minutes.

This is a freezeout format so players who enter will have one shot at WSOP glory. Late registration will be open for the first four hours of play.

This is the 23th of 33 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (33 events) and GG Poker (holding the remaining 33 events).

Sergio "pack14" Ruiz opened to 135 from early position and Ryan "BitC0in" Riess three-bet to 420 next to act. It folded back around to Ruiz who made the call.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts} and both players checked their options to the {7-Spades} turn. Ruiz elected to lead out for 930 and without much thought, Riess let his hand go.

Paoletti Takes Multi-Way Pot

Matthew "peepeepoopoo" Paoletti opened to 287 from under the gun and both Matthew "m94nasty" Land in the cutoff and Evan "ballz222" Sandberg in the big blind made the call.

The flop fanned out {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Sandberg and Paoletti checked to Land who bet out 455. Sandberg quickly folded and Paoletti raised to 1,410, which land came along.

On the {10-Diamonds} turn Paoletti sized up to 2,798 and Land went in the tank. After a few moments, Land elected on a fold and the chips were sent to Paoletti.

The action folded to Victor "DogPORK" Shih on the button who opened to 375 and Jeremy "Chipchecka" Ausmus made the call in the big blind.

On the flop of {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Ausmus checked to Shih who continued for 270 and Ausmus took a moment before putting in the check-raise to 955. Shih contemplated his options for a few seconds but in the end let his hand go and the pot was shipped to the five-time bracelet winner.
