Chidwick Flips to Stay Alive

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick was down to just 90,000 chips and ripped all in from under the gun. Dan Smith confirmed the count on the button and then called to put Chidwick at risk.

Stephen Chidwick: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The two players were flipping and Chidwick stayed out front on the {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. The {4-Hearts} on the turn and the {8-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing as Chidwick doubled up.

Mateos Pressures Vogelsang

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 16,000 from under the gun and Christoph Vogelsang three-bet to 45,000 on his left. The action folded back to Mateos who four-bet to 103,000 and Vogelsang called.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Mateos continued with a bet of 40,000. Vogelsang called and the {9-Spades} paired the board on the turn. Mateos dropped in another bet of 75,000 and Vogelsang stuck around to see the {6-Diamonds} on the river.

Mateos shoved all in for his last 146,000 which made Vogelsang squirm in his chair. As the clock approached 30 seconds, Vogelsang slid his cards to the muck and Mateos was awarded the pot.

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Stanley Tang had 16,000 chips committed in middle position and was facing an all-in from Justin Young on the button for just over 100,000. Tang called.

Justin Young: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Stanley Tang: {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Both players got a piece of the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, and the {8-Diamonds} and {6-Hearts} completed the board to secure Young's double.

Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Darren Elias opened to 12,000 under the gun, Dan Smith called in the cutoff, Stanley Tang called in the small blind, and Dylan Linde called in the big blind.

The blinds checked on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and Elias bet 14,000. Smith folded, Tang raised to 60,000, Linde folded, and Elias called.

The two players checked the {3-Diamonds} turn to the {3-Clubs} river. Tang thought about it before ultimately check-folding to a bet of 90,000, and Elias added to his stack.

Grafton Can't Get There

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Marius Gierse raised it up from middle position and Sam Grafton stuck in a three-bet to 48,000 from the big blind which Gierse called. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} and Grafton led out with a bet of 35,000. Gierse raised to 90,000 and Grafton jammed all in for around 240,000 which Gierse called.

Sam Grafton: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Marius Gierse: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Grafton flopped top pair with a flush draw but was up against the overpair of Gierse. The {3-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing and the {7-Clubs} on the river also didn't help Grafton who was eliminated for the second time.

Vitaliy Rizhkov: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Michael Rocco: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The {5-Clubs} river failed to bring the case ten, and Rizhkov secured the double with a better boat.

Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Shannon Shorr raised it up from the hijack and Christopher Frank defended in the big blind. The flop fell {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Frank check-called a continuation bet from Shorr.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and Frank started with a check again. Shorr continued to fire with a bet of 57,000 but Frank still called.

The {j-Diamonds} completed the board and Frank checked for the third time. Shorr reached back for a bet of 170,000 which prompted a quick fold from Frank.

Punsri Doubles Through Negreanu

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Punnat Punsri jammed for 96,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Negreanu called on the button.

Punnat Punsri: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Daniel Negreanu: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Negreanu was in great shape, but the {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop vaulted Punsri in front. The {j-Diamonds} turn sealed it as the meaningless {5-Spades} confirmed the result.
