Filipp Khavin Eliminated in 24th Place ($18,628)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Filipp Khavin
Filipp Khavin

Filipp Khavin was all for 1,260,000 and Niall Farrell called.

Filipp Khavin: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Niall Farrell: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Khavin was behind with the smaller pair, and the flop of {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} didn't give him many outs against the pocket queens of Farrell.

After the {2-Hearts} came on the turn, he would need a nine to stay alive.

It wasn't meant to be as the {2-Diamonds} completed the board, and he was eliminated.

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Kyriakos Papadopoulos
Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Joey Weissman raised to 150,000 from the early position and the action folded to Kyriakos Papadopoulos in the big blind. He tanked for a while and then decided to three-bet shove for 655,000. Weissman asked for a count and when the dealer confirmed the amount, Weissman made the call.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Joey Weissman: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Papadopoulos was ahead with the higher kicker but the board ran out {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for Weissman to flop two pair and turn an even better two pair to send the Greek to the rail in 25th place for $18,628.

Arnaud Enselme Eliminated in 27th Place ($15,489)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Arnaud Enselme (during the 2021 WSOP)
Arnaud Enselme (during the 2021 WSOP)

Arnaud Enselme had bet almost all of his chips pre-flop, and had a single 5,000 chip behind against Michael Marder as the pair saw the {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop.

Enselme took his time with his decision and, with the next pay jump coming at 26 players, his tablemates soon called the clock on him. The floor arrived but Enselme checked before he was officially put on the clock.

Marder bet enough to put Enselme all in, and the Frenchman called.

Arnaud Enselme: {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Michael Marder: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Marder was ahead and although the {j-Diamonds} turn opened some chop outs for Enselme, he was eliminated after the {4-Spades} river.

Veksler Jams, Duta Calls

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Florian Duta
Florian Duta

Pavlo Veksler committed all of his 270,000 stack from middle position and Florian Duta called from the cutoff.

Pavlo Veksler: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Florian Duta: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

After the flop of {5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades} Veksler was in the lead with ace high, but had to fade Duta's many outs.

It would be the {q-Clubs} to give Duta top pair, and pull ahead.

The {5-Spades} river gave Duta two pair and didn't improve Veksler's holdings, and he was eliminated.

Tomlinson Talks To Theologis

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jeffrey Tomlinson
Jeffrey Tomlinson

Jeffrey Tomlinson was all in for 650,000 from the small blind, and only Alexandros Theologis had a decision to make.

"I gotcha beat, I'll show you." Tomlinson told Theologis.

"I believe you have a very strong hand," replied Theologis. "I think mine is too good to fold."

Theologis called, and they were racing, and Tomlinson was at risk.

Jeffrey Tomlinson: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Alexandros Theologis: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The flop of {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was safe for Tomlinson, but the turn {q-Hearts} put Theologis ahead.

No jack came for Tomlinson on the river, instead it was the {k-Diamonds} and Tomlinson's elimination was official.

Everyone at the table complimented his play and table etiquette before exiting, including the dealer who said it was a pleasure having the WSOP bracelet winner Tomlinson to her right all day.

Foxen Doesn't Blink Twice

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Lander Lijo and Alex Foxen were heads up after {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades} was displayed on the felt.

Lijo was in the small blind, and checked it to the Day 2 chip leader Foxen, who bet 120,000 from middle position.

After a minute of consideration, Lijo called.

It would be the {10-Diamonds} to complete the board, and each player checked their option.

Lijo was first to show and had {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for two pair, but Foxen had the better two pair with {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and the pot was his.

At another table, Matthew Lambrecht was eliminated.

Nathan Russler
Nathan Russler

Action was picked up with {3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} showing on the board and around 250,000 in the middle.

Nathan Russler was first to act, and bet 155,000.

Christian Pham was the only other player in the hand, and he scratched his head deliberating a move, but it would be a fold to conserve his remaining stack.

On another table JJ Liu was eliminated.

Wilson Jams On Mateos

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Brock Wilson
Brock Wilson

There was around 600,000 in the pot and it was heads up with Adrian Mateos in the cutoff and Brock Wilson on the button. We picked up action after the turn when four cards {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} were in the middle, and both players checked to get a river card, which was the {8-Spades}.

Staring his opponent down intensely, Mateos checked it over to Wilson, and never let his gaze wander away.

Wilson counted his stack a few times before using both hands to slowly push it all forward, announcing all in.

Mateos thought on it for a few minutes, and eventually folded.

"Bluff?", Mateos asked Wilson.

Wilson didn't respond, and dragged in a monster pot.

Liu All In First Hand

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alexandros Theologis
Alexandros Theologis

Qing Liu bet 55,000 in middle position, only to be raised another 100,000 by Alexandros Theologis on the button. Liu went all in and Theologis called.

Qing Liu: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Alexandros Theologis: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

They were flipping, and after the flop of {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Theologis' two pair with pocket jacks was still best.

An {8-Clubs} kept him safe, especially with more backdoor outs he didn't need.

It would be the {a-Clubs} that gave Liu a brief moment of excitement, but it was his paired ace that also made Theologis a flush and Liu was eliminated.
