Lewis First Doubles, then Loses Some Chips

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Romain Lewis had raised to 80,000 from the middle position and Pavlo Veksler three-bet jammed from the button for the blinds to fold and Lewis to call for the 580,000 he had behind.

Romain Lewis: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Pavlo Veksler: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for Lewis to hold with his pocket pair to double up.

On the next hand, Davide Suriano raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Lewis came along for the ride from the early position while the rest folded.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Suriano bet 125,000 and Lewis called but folded when Suriano continued with a bet of 300,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn.

Papadopoulos Calls Ramos' All In

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Kyriakos Papadopoulos
Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Kyriakos Papadopoulos bet 80,000 from the cutoff, and Felipe Ramos went all in from the button for 350,000.

It took Papadopoulos a couple minutes to decide, but he made the call.

Felipe Ramos: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Kyriakos Papadopoulos: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The flop didn't help either player {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Ramos was in the lead with ace high.

With a turn of {2-Hearts} Papadopoulos added several more outs to his chances, and those outs would prove the difference when the {8-Hearts} came on the river, giving Papadopoulos a flush.

Ramos was eliminated, but he didn't leave the tournament area until he shook hands with every player and thanked them.

Ostapchenko Taken Down by Wilson

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Andrew Ostapchenko raised to 125,000 from the hijack and Brock Wilson three-bet to 225,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Ostapchenko who glanced at the clock before making the call.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Ostapchenko put in his last 35,000 for Wilson to quickly call.

Andrew Ostapchenko: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Brock Wilson: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Ostapchenko had hit a pair of sixes but Wilson hit a set.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} for Ostapchenko to be left hoping for a king to hit Broadway but the river completed the board with the {q-Diamonds} instead for Wilson to improve to a full house.

Tomlinson Talks To Theologis

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jeffrey Tomlinson
Jeffrey Tomlinson

Jeffrey Tomlinson was all in for 650,000 from the small blind, and only Alexandros Theologis had a decision to make.

"I gotcha beat, I'll show you." Tomlinson told Theologis.

"I believe you have a very strong hand," replied Theologis. "I think mine is too good to fold."

Theologis called, and they were racing, and Tomlinson was at risk.

Jeffrey Tomlinson: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Alexandros Theologis: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The flop of {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} was safe for Tomlinson, but the turn {q-Hearts} put Theologis ahead.

No jack came for Tomlinson on the river, instead it was the {k-Diamonds} and Tomlinson's elimination was official.

Everyone at the table complimented his play and table etiquette before exiting, including the dealer who said it was a pleasure having the WSOP bracelet winner Tomlinson to her right all day.

Capriles Can't Stay In

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Miguel Capriles was down to his last 125,000 and his table mates joked around that when he would bust, that PokerNews should report it was with a king-deuce.

He pushed his last chips in from the cutoff and Nathan Russler made the call from the button and so did Johnnie Moreno in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Moreno check-called the 75,000 bet of Russler.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Moreno checked again. This time, Russler barreled a bet of 150,000 out for Moreno to tank and then fold but he did show the {a-Diamonds} for two pair.

Miguel Capriles: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Nathan Russler: {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Russler had turned trips to leave Capriles drawing dead as the {5-Spades} completed the board.

"I had the king-deuce," Michael Marder commented.

Foxen Doesn't Blink Twice

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Lander Lijo and Alex Foxen were heads up after {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades} was displayed on the felt.

Lijo was in the small blind, and checked it to the Day 2 chip leader Foxen, who bet 120,000 from middle position.

After a minute of consideration, Lijo called.

It would be the {10-Diamonds} to complete the board, and each player checked their option.

Lijo was first to show and had {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for two pair, but Foxen had the better two pair with {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and the pot was his.

At another table, Matthew Lambrecht was eliminated.

Jared Ingles: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Niall Farrell: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for Ingles to pick up the open-ended straight draw but to keep Farrell ahead.
