Deeb Busts to Ball

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

With over 100,000 in the pot on a {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Shaun Deeb was all-in from early position for a little over 100,000, Scott Ball called in the hijack, and the button player folded.

Shaun Deeb: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Scott Ball: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}

"How much is it?" asked Ball.

"Hold on," Deeb replied as he awaited the runout. "Some black card could come."

The {6-Spades} fell on the turn.

"That's unfortunately a black card I didn't want to see," Deeb said.

The dealer burned and turned to put down the {10-Spades} river onto the felt, completing Ball's flush and eliminating the 2021 winner of this event, as Deeb said his "gg"s and made his exit.

Small Pot for Lamb Against Lee

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Chris Lee raised to 16,000 and Ben Lamb in the cutoff was the only caller. The {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop was checked to Lamb, who bet 15,000 and won the pot right there. It is a stacked table with the PLO specialist Lee and Gavin Cochrane, Lamb, Andriy Lyubovetskiy, and Alex Livingston to name all but a few.

On top of that is two-time WSOP bracelet winner Dash Dudley, who is sporting a decent stack as well.

Deak Knocked Out by Garza

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ferenc Deak
Ferenc Deak

Heads-up to the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Ap Garza checked to Ferenc Deak, who made it 25,000 to go. Garza then check-raised to 80,000 and Deak called. On the {a-Spades} turn, Garza pushed all-in with the covering stack and Deak called it off.

Ferenc Deak: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Ap Garza: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Despite having flopped the top two pair, Deak only had a few outs with the two remaining tens and four queens for a straight. Nothing changed on the {7-Clubs} river and Deak was sent to the rail while Garza continued his rise on the leaderboard.

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Heads-up to the {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} river, Veselin Karakitukov checked and Johann Ibanez used one time bank extension before he made it 75,000 to go. Karakitukov invested two time bank extentions as well and then sent his cards into the muck.

Showdown Pot for Wilke

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, table big stack Emmanuel Sebag checked and Robert Wilke made it 27,000 to go in late position. Sebag came along and both then checked down the {7-Diamonds} turn as well as the {6-Spades} river.

As Wilke checked behind, he grabbed his cards high and exposed the {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for queens and fours. That was good enough to win the pot, as Sebag tossed his cards into the muck.
