Schwartz Doubles Through Karakitukov

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Noah Schwartz
Noah Schwartz

Noah Schwartz had recently doubled his short stack and was looking to secure another double. Schwartz raised to 105,000 in the hijack and Veselin Karakitukov three-bet to 300,000 on the button. Action folded back to Schwartz who put in his 440,000 chips, and Karakitukov called.

Noah Schwartz: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Veselin Karakitukov: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to leave Schwartz with the nut flush and secure his double.

Dzivielevski Doubles Through Trang

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Yuri Dzivielevski
Yuri Dzivielevski

The action started with a raise to 75,000 by Yuri Dzivielevski and Christopher Trang raised the pot to 240,000 out of the big blind. Dzivielevski stuck around and then called all-in for 505,000 when Trang bet the pot on the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Yuri Dzivielevski: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Christopher Trang: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The {10-Hearts} turn locked up the double for the Brazilian and that made the {j-Diamonds} river a formality.

Rapid Chip Changes

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Gregory Shuda bet the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} turn for 130,000 to get called by Ben Lamb and then bet the {3-Diamonds} river for another 250,000. Lamb mulled it over and folded to get shown a {10-}{9-}{5-}{4-} combo. "Is that good?" Shuda asked as he raked in the pot.

Jared Bleznick invested 500,000 preflop to then fold against the all-in of Emmanuel Sebag and had to forfeit one third of his stack.

David Williams repotted to 345,000 preflop and was called by Fabian Brandes. On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Brandes bet the pot for 810,000 and Williams snap-folded.

Karakitukov Felted by Depa

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Veselin Karakitukov
Veselin Karakitukov

Veselin Karakitukov defended his big blind against Jonathan Depa and then got a shorter stack in following the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} flop to get called by Depa with the covering stack.

Veselin Karakitukov: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Jonathan Depa: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Karakitukov was on thin ice with the dominated top pair and a gutshot as Depa had the top two pair and an additional broadway gutshot. Nothing changed with the {6-Spades} turn as the Bulgarian only made inferior two pair and the {k-Clubs} river only improved Depa. Karakitukov was eliminated in 26th place for $50,575.

Kornuth Gets Second Chance and Doubles Through Ball

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Chance Kornuth got his remaining stack in on a {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board and was at risk against Scott Ball in the hijack.

Chance Kornuth: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Scott Ball: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Kornuth needed to improve to stay alive, and the {6-Clubs} spiked the river to give Kornuth a straight and new life in the tournament as he moves up to around 1 million in chips.

Lehr Eliminated by Kornuth

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs as the table short stack Keith Lehr was all-in and at risk against Chance Kornuth.

Keith Lehr: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Chance Kornuth: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and the superior hand of Kornuth held to eliminate Lehr in 25th place, sending the final 24 players to an imminent three-table redraw.

Bleznick Doubles Through Brandes

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Only two minutes before the blinds moved up, there was an all-in and call on the main feature table with the turn reading {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

Jared Bleznick was the player at risk for 875,000 and he was up against one of the table big stacks in Fabian Brandes.

Jared Bleznick: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Fabian Brandes: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Brandes wished his opponent good luck and Bleznick indeed got there by spiking the {q-Spades} on the river.

Lamb Gets Some Back From Shuda

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Gregory Shuda bet the {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} turn and was called by Ben Lamb. On the {5-Hearts} river, Shuda checked again and Lamb now bet 250,000.

"That's exactly what I was gonna bet," Shuda sighed and eventually mucked his cards for Lamb to chip up.
