Grospellier Sends Zinno Home

Level 11
Elky Grospellier
Elky Grospellier

Anthony Zinno opened from the cutoff and was called by Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier out of the big blind.

Grospellier took one card to Zinno's two on the first draw before checking to the initial raiser. Zinno threw out a bet and Grospellier made the call to send the two players heads-up to the second draw.

On the second draw both players took just one card after which Grospellier took the betting lead. Zinno responded with a raise and was met by a re-raise from Grospellier. Zinno called off for his tournament life but before he indicated how many cards he was going to take, Grospellier turned over {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the wheel. Zinno turned over {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and discarded his fifth card, needing to find one of the three remaining fives to chop the pot and survive. He could not find any help, however, turning over {j-} to end his tournament shy of the money.

Elsewhere, Kane Kalas and David Prociak were seen exiting the tournament area.
