Linde and Foxen Battle

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player raised to 2,300 from under the gun and was called by Alex Foxen on the button and Dylan Linde in the small blind.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} and checked through.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Linde led out for 3,200. Only Foxen called.

The river was the {k-Spades} and action went check-check.

Linde showed {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} which was enough to take down the pot.

Brownleader Doubles Up

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded to Jonny Brownleader in the hijack who jammed for 24,500. His lone call came from the big blind who had him covered.

Jonny Brownleader: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Big Blind: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Brownleader was behind only briefly, as he paired his queen on the {q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop. The {8-Spades} turn and {6-Diamonds} river affected neither player's hand, and Brownleader secured the double up to move to just over double the starting stack.

Quads on the Board Doubles Up Ngo

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Brian Ngo jammed from the hijack for 13,200. The button moved all in as well with a marginally larger stack, but received no callers. With no action left, their hands were tabled.

Brian Ngo: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Button: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Ngo was behind, but had outs with his two overcards. The {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop gave the button a full house, but the {q-Diamonds} on the turn gave both players quads with Ngo having the superior kicker. Ngo just needed to dodge an ace on the river, which would result in a chopped pot. He did so successfully, as the river came the {9-Spades}, and Ngo scooped the pot with his ace kicker paying dividends.

Cheong Cannot Find a Fold

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

A player raised from late position and was only called by Joseph Cheong in the big blind.

On a flop of {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} Cheong checked to his opponent, who led out for 4,000. Cheong, far from deterred by the continuation, responded with a raise to 11,000. His opponent made the call to send the two players to the turn.

Both players checked through the {6-Hearts} turn and Cheong checked for a third time after the {2-Diamonds} river. His opponent was not prepared to go to a cheap showdown, instead betting out 11,000. Cheong went into the tank but seemed unable to let go of his hand, eventually tossing in calling chips. He was shown {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, a hand he could not beat, putting a mild dent in his still large stack.

Bond Busts Kings to Knockout Opponent

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was picked up with Matt Bond having already called his opponent's preflop jam. With Bond the big stack, the players flipped their hands.

Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Matt Bond: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Bond was behind, but managed to pull ahead by pairing his ace on the {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. The {6-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river changed nothing, securing the pot for Bond, and sending his opponent to the rail.

Henderson Chips Up

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Joining the action on the board of {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} the early position player bet 5,000 when checked to. William Henderson called on the button.

The river was the {a-Clubs} and Henderson checked to his opponent who fired 30,000. Henderson went into the tank and turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for two pair while his opponent frustratedly threw his card into the muck.
