Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Veronica Brill
Veronica Brill

From the hijack position, Veronica Brill and her opponent in the cutoff got into a betting war pre-flop and all of Brill's 366,000 ended up in the middle with the cutoff calling her off.

Veronica Brill: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Brill enjoying doubling up to nearly 76 big blinds.

Despite registering for the tournament with 15 minutes before registration closed, she's managed to take her stack to over 750,000 on Day 2 with fewer than 500 players remaining.

Sotiropoulos Successfully Jams Into Nguyen

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Georgios Sotiropoulos and Qui Nguyen, the board showed {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Sotiropoulos opted to check and Nguyen then bet 30,000 only for the Greek to jam for 118,000 total.

Nguyen gave it some consideration and mucked the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a broadway straight face up.

Lee Sends Girton to the Payout Desk

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jordan Girton was flipping for his tournament life as he got the last 160,000 in before the flop as he was looked up by Manfred Lee.

Jordan Girton: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Manfred Lee: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The most classic of flips kept Girton ahead on the {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and {j-Diamonds} turn. However, the {k-Diamonds} struck on the river and that spelled the end for Girton in 459th place.

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jerod Smith
Jerod Smith

Jerod Smith opened from the button and the small blind three-bet into him. Smith shoved his 296,000 chips and the small blind snap-called.

Jerod Smith: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Smith was calling for his 'Plan B' to come through before the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. "There's my Plan B."

The {3-Diamonds} graced the turn to give the small blind a flush draw. However, Smith faded everything on the {j-Hearts} river and was able to double up to over 600,000.
