Brown Claims to Have an Eight

Level 16

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Action folded to Andrew Brown in the small blind. "Raise the roof," the bracelet winner said.

"Raise the roof? Really that strong," Alex Livingston said in the big blind as he called. Brown took two while Livingston took three.

Brown bet and Livingston called. Brown stood pat and put out a bet before Livingston had a chance to draw.

"He's making a smart move," Brown said as Livingston again drew three before showing a jack-ten and folding.

"No, that doesn't beat an eight," Brown added as he took in the pot.

Roman Conquers After Three Draws

Level 17

2-7 Triple Draw

Three players went to the first draw fighting for a pot of about 35,000. All three players drew one card.

On the second draw, all three players drew one card and checked again.

With one last chance, all three players drew one more card. This time, Christopher Roman bet 8,000. After the player in the middle got out of the way, Phelps made the call and saw the bad news.

Roman rolled over {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for number two and the winner.

Sheera, Prociak Chop Up Massive Pot

Level 17

Stud 8

Mitul Sheera: {x-}{x-}/{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Clubs}/{x-}
David Prociak: {x-}{x-}/{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}/{x-}
Robert Campbell: {x-}{x-}/{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}/{x-}
Jaswinder Lally: {x-}{x-}/{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Diamonds}/{x-}

On fifth street, Jaswinder Lally bet and was called by Mitul Sheera to his left. Robert Campbell then raised and David Prociak called, as did Lally and Sheera building a pot of more than 100,000.

Everyone checked down on sixth and seventh. Prociak showed {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for two pair, tens and sevens, to take the high, while Sheera had {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a seven-low to chop the pot as Lally and Campbell could do nothing but muck their boards.
