John Monnette: {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}/{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}
Kane Kalas: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}/{x-}{x-}{x-}
Philip Sternheimer: {x-}{x-}/{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} - folded fifth street

John Monnette is off to a great start, gaining some chips off Kane Kalas in a recent hand.

Monnette defended his bring-in after Kalas raised and Philip Sternheimer called.

On fourth street, Kalas bet and was called by both opponents.

Fifth street saw Kalas continue betting, with only Monnette calling.

Monnette then called another Kalas bet on sixth, then bet seventh after Kalas finally checked.

Kalas called the bet to see Monnette turn over a seven-high straight with a seven low to scoop the pot.

Just before this hand, Monnette also scored a double elimination of short stacks Ben Yu and Ahmed Mohamed and has now boosted his stack to 250,000
