Up and Down for Lichtenberger

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger shoved all in for 275,000 in the cutoff and David Peters re-shoved all in on the button. Lichtenberger held {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and was flipping against the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Peters.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Lichtenberger held on for a double up.

On the next hand, Adrian Mateos shoved all in for 345,000 in middle position and Lichtenberger called on his left. The rest of the table folded and it was another coin flip.

Mateos held the pair this time with {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} while Lichtenberger had the overs with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Lichtenberger failed to connect as he passed over the chips he just earned.

Davies Check-Raises Ausmus

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} with a pot of 145,000. From the cutoff Seth Davies check-raised, Jeremy Ausmus's button bet of 40,000 to 180,000. Ausmus quickly relented and Davies took the pot.

On another table, 2022 WSOP bracelet winner Michael Moncek was the most recent player to pony up $100,000 for a fresh 600,000 starting stack.

Ausmus Goes for the Triple Barrel

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus raised it up from the cutoff and was called by Talal Shakerchi on the button and Phil Ivey in the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} and Ausmus continued with a bet of 45,000. Both Shakerchi and Ivey called as they went three ways to the {10-Diamonds} on the turn.

Ivey checked again and Ausmus dropped in a bet of 150,000. Shakerchi quickly folded but Ivey still called. The river was the {a-Hearts} and Ivey used a time bank before checking once more. Ausmus pushed out a bet of 350,000 and Ivey quickly mucked his cards.

Gonzales Eats Away More of Badziakouski's Stack

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jason Koon raised to 50,000 from under the gun. Andrew Lichtenberger called in the hijack. Matthew Gonzales jammed all in for 440,000 from the cutoff. Mikita Badziakouski took his time in the big blind and re-jammed his larger stack after using the thirty-second clock. Koon and Lichtenberger quickly folded.

Matthew Gonzales: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The board ran out cleanly for Gonzales as it came {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Baziakouski's bad luck late in the night continued as he lost another large chunk of his stack.

Jensen Soars to the Top

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Gregory Jensen
Gregory Jensen

After a raise to 50,000, Jeremy Ausmus three-bet to 145,000 on the button. Gregory Jensen stuck in a four-bet to 325,000 which got the initial raiser to fold. Ausmus, however, gave it some thought and eventually shoved all in for around 850,000 which Jensen quickly called.

Jeremy Ausmus: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Gregory Jensen: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Ausmus was in need of a queen in order to stay alive, but the board of {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs} provided no help.

Oya on the Rise; Busts Schindler

Level 11 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The board was already completed to read {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. From the big blind, Aleksejs Ponakovs bet 300,000. Masashi Oya raised to 650,000 from middle position. Ponakovs folded. As has been a theme today, Oya once again showed a monster as he revealed the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a boat, making Ponakovs grateful for his fold.

The next hand, Oya raised from early position. Jake Schindler jammed about 300,000 from the button. Oya thought for a bit before he called.

Schindler tabled the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, which was well ahead of the {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} of Oya. But the flop came {10-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs} to suddenly give Oya a lot of outs. The turn was the {3-Clubs} to bring in the flush. Schindler grabbed his queens and flipped them over in frustration as the {10-Hearts} came on the river and he got up from the table.

"Nobody is going to complain about that one," said Dan Smith as Schindler walked away.

Heath Goes to War with Worre

Level 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

There was a board of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} spread across the felt with Eric Worre and Ben Heath heads up in a pot. There appeared to be a bet and a raise on the turn with each player sticking in 365,000 apiece.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and Worre led out with a bet of around 400,000. Heath instantly flicked in a chip to call and Worre table {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens. Heath tabled {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush and raked in a huge pot as the night closes in on a finish.
