Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Kevin Gerhart defended his big blind and then bet the turn and river of a {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Clubs} board. His sole remaining opponent called and Gerhart tabled the {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for broadway to chip up and add more ammunition to his title defense.

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Chip Jett: {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {a-Clubs}
Eric Rodawig: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} / {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} / {2-Hearts}

Chip Jett was all-in with a very short stack and celebrated a split pot when his dominated pair of treys spiked a low. Eric Rodawig, however, spiked a deuce on seventh to make the superior low and earn the entire pot.

Several players at the table then chimed in that one shall not celebrate early.

Grapenthien Back Above the Starting Stack

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

In a heads-up pot that had already reached seventh street, a short stack was all in with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board showing. Matt Grapenthien mulled it over for more than a minute and eventually called with his board showing only {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The all-in player announced just a pair of jacks as they played their board. Grapenthien was relieved and tabled the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a pair of kings to score the knockout.

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Andre Akkari: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} / {7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}

Kosei Ichinose: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Aditya Prasetyo and Kosei Ichinose called a raise from Andre Akkari, and did the same facing a bet on fifth and sixth street.

Akkari continued to apply the pressure, betting seventh street after a pair of checks. Prasetyo and Ichinose both folded, as Akkari added a nice pot to his stack.

A short-stacked Randy Ohel was all in after fourth street and had a ten-draw, while Craig Chait had an eighty-seven draw. While Chait caught some point, things got much worse for Ohel as he paired the ace and then got another king. Chait spiked a nine eventually and Ohel caught another ace.

"Have fun guys," he wished everyone before grabbing his belongings and heading to the rail.

Miracle Escape for Ramos

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

In the last hand of Omaha Hi-Lo, the board was just mucked and Felipe Ramos was all smiles. "If I win this tournament, you gotta talk about this hand."

Ramos' {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} had a gutterball on the flop and instead made a wheel on the river to double through Cary Katz with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for all the pairs. However, there was no low for Katz and Ramos scooped to pull Katz into more misery.
