Near Double-Up for Marsters Through Volpe

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Throughout a board of {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{a-Spades}, Tim Marsters bet all the way and had very few chips behind after the final bet. Paul Volpe called very reluctantly on the river suspecting Marters may have connected with the final community card.

Marsters flipped over his {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a set of nines and Volpe flashed three of his cards including the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Lamb Scoops Madsen

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Ben Lamb raised from the hijack and Jeff Madsen defended his big blind to the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop.

Lamb led out and was called, with the action repeating after the {8-Spades} turn.

Both players checked down on the {6-Diamonds} river, and Lamb revealed {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to scoop the pot.

Strelitz Chips Up With a Chop

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Omaha Hi-Lo

Daniel Strelitz raised off a short stack and Philip Sternheimer reraised out of the small blind for Jerry Wong to call in the big blind, Strelitz also called. On the {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, Sternheimer checked and Wong bet, Strelitz moved all-in for 10,000 and Sternheimer called. Wong then reraised and was called by Sternheimer.

The {2-Clubs} turn and {4-Spades} river brought just one more single bet of each active player into the middle and Strelitz flipped over the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a flush. Sternheimer had the {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the wheel and won the low pot while Wong's cards were exposed for a moment only before they hit the muck.

Wasserson Continues to Climb

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Kevin Song raised and called a three-bet from Eric Wasserson to see the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop.

Song then check-called the {k-Diamonds} turn, while Wasserson fired again on the {3-Clubs} river.

Song took some time before making the call, and we quickly shown the bad news as Wasserson flipped over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for top pair.

Couden Gets Small Boost, Then Busts

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Joey Couden got the rest of his short stack in against Erik Sagstrom on a runout showing {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and had at least half the pot locked up on the turn.

Joey Couden: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Erik Sagstrom: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The river {10-Clubs} changed nothing, and Couden took three-quarters with his full house and ace-three low.

However, Couden was unable to run up his stack and was eliminated shortly after.

Tough Exit Scoop for Mizrachi

Level 11 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Michael Mizrachi: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} / {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} / {3-Hearts}
Michael Parizon: {j-Spades}{2-Hearts} / {2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} / {8-Diamonds}

Michael Mizrachi was all-in with a short stack on sixth street and had the lead with a pair of aces and the nut flush draw. He had no low draw, however, which Michael Parizon had. The last street gave Parizon eights and deuces, which won it all when Mizrachi bricked with a blank trey.
