Pastore Busts Black

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jonathan Pastore opened in the cutoff and Taylor Black decided to shove on the button for a stack around 1,100,000. It came back to Pastore who didn't take long to call:

Taylor Black: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Jonathan Pastore: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

It was a typical flip situation, and the board {7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs} gave the winning hand to Pastore with a pair of aces on the turn to eliminate Black from the event.

Gostisa Chipping Up

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

It folded to Shawn Daniels in the small blind who completed before Rok Gostisa opted to raise it to 130,000. Daniels tanked for a minute and made the call.

The flop fanned {8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and both checked to go see a {k-Clubs} on the turn. This time, Daniels check-called for 100,000.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Daniels checked again. Gostisa bet 300,000 and Daniels sent a chip for the call, but mucked his hand when Gostisa revealed {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for two pair.

Spinella Doubles Bond Then Gets Value From Alkamli

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella

Anthony Spinella has had a down and up last few hands.

According to Justin Bond, who doubled through Spinella, Justin limped the small blind and Spinella made it 135,000. Bond called and on the {9-}{8-}{2-} board which had two diamonds on it, Bond check raised a bet of 100,000 from Spinella to 360,000. Spinella put Bond all in for his last 1,150,000 and he called.

The board ran out {7-} turn and {5-} to give Bond a straight with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} versus the {9-}{4-} of Spinella.

Following that hand Spinella then was heads-up blind versus blind against Tamer Alkamli with around 200,000 in the middle. On a {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades} board, Spinella had bet 150,000 and Alkamli had called.

To the {5-Spades} river, Spinella then bet 300,000 and Alkamli called.

Spinella showed down {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to win as Alkamli mucked.

Sandeep Pulusani Eliminated in 18th Place ($32,459)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Sandeep Pulusani
Sandeep Pulusani

Preflop action had Sandeep Pulusani in the cutoff raising to 750,000, almost his entire stack, leaving just 80,000 behind. The blinds folded and Robert Mizrachi pushed over top. Pulusani sat thinking and playing with his remaining chips for a few minutes. Time was eventually called and during the 10-second countdown Pulusani shoved the remainder of his stack in to the middle.

Sandeep Pulusani: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Robert Mizrachi: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flop of {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} looked like a guaranteed double up for Pulusani until the {3-Clubs} turn and {5-Clubs} river came down to give MIzrachi the backdoor flush. The table was shocked and Mizrachi hit the table in celebration as the clubs hit and he knocked Pulusani out of the tournament in 18th place.
