Craps' Boat Fills Up

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The heads-up action was picked up on the {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop.

Action checked to Steve Craps on the button, who fired for 7,000. The small blind moved all in for 31,500. Craps made the call fairly quickly with his opponent covered.

Opponent: {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Steve Craps: {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Craps was ahead with his two pair, but would need to fade his opponents open-ended straight draw. He was able to do so and more, as he improved to a full house after the {2-Spades}{7-Hearts} runout. Craps scooped the pot, adding to his stack which has been among the biggest in the field most of the day.

It's Never Over Until The River

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

First to act, Eben Kurtzman went all-in before the flop after a battle of raises with John Gonzales, in the big blind. Kurtzman had almost 22,000.

Eben Kurtzman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
John Gonzales: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Kurtzman looked at the {8-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop on his chair, before leaving it quickly. He had his jacket in his hand when {j-Clubs} came on the turn, and was wishing good luck to everybody, before {10-Diamonds} land on the river. He made a backdoor straight to cracked aces.

Eben Kurtzman finally took his seat back, his tournament is not over yet.

Napolitano's Queens Hold

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Action was picked up with a {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board and around 15,000 in the pot. Mark Napolitano fired for 7,500 from early/middle position. He got a call from late position, before the cutoff moved all in for 4,400 to make the call. After the small blind got out of the way, the early position player made the call as well.

On the {2-Clubs} turn, Napolitano continued for 15,000, getting both the late and early position players to fold, giving a heads-up showdown between him and the cutoff.

Cutoff: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Mark Napolitano: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Napolitano was ahead, but the cutoff had plenty of outs between his flush draw and over card. Napolitano was able to successfully fade those outs, however, as the {2-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing, and Napolitano scooped the pot while the cutoff headed for the rail.

Russo Rivers a Straight

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Actin was picked up on the river with 24,000 in the pot and a board of {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Louis Russo fired for 7,000, and his opponent tanked for a minute or two before finally making the call.

Russo turned over {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, giving him a straight on the river. "You rivered it, huh?" his opponent said, flashing the {q-Spades} before tossing his hand into the muck.

Kings Hold for Morgan

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

After a raise to 1,800 from a player on the button, Keith Morgan decided to put him at risk. He shoved and his opponent snap-called for his last 15,000 chips.

Opponent: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Keith Morgan: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and suddenly, Morgan's face changed. But finally, the turn {7-Diamonds} and the river {a-Hearts} secured a new elimination for him. He now has a big stack few minutes before the third break of the day.

Table 437 shines like a star : you can find John Esposito, JJ Liu, Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes and Greg Raymer !

John Esposito was seen check-raising all-in for almost 50,000 on a {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, after a bet from JJ Liu to 4,100, with 35,000 behind. She thought for a while about that situation, before mucking his hand.

Greg Raymer also confessed that before coming to this table, he was down to only 100 chips on his previous table !

"But... the fossil, you know it"
