Partin Scoops the Biggest Razz Pot of "All Time"

Level 22 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Meikle Partin
Meikle Partin

Razz

Meikle Partin: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{7-}{6-}{q-}/{x-}
Jeremy Ausmus: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{q-}{3-}{4-}/{x-}
Dustin Dirksen: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{j-}{4-}{8-}/{x-}
Robert Wells: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{8-}{10-}{a-}/{x-}

Dustin Dirksen opened the pot by completing before Robert Wells raised. Meikie Partin and Jeremy Ausmus called, as did Dirksen.

Partin led out on fourth, Wells raised, and all three opponents called.

"This is a tough table for Razz," William O'Neil, who had just arrived at the table, said.

On fifth, Partin went all in for his last 28,000, Ausmus raised all in, and both Dirksen and Wells called. Dirksen called another bet on sixth to create a second side pot.

"This might be the biggest Razz pot of the whole tournament," Allen Kessler observed.

"Of all time," another tablemate added.

Dirksen bet on seventh and Wells raised again. Dirksen called.

Wells ended up with {5-}{6-}{3-} for 6-5-4-3-A while Dirksen had {7-}{a-}{2-} for 7-5-4-2-A.

"I need an ace," Partin said before turning over the {a-Spades} to go with {2-}{3-} and make a 6-5-3-2-A.

Partin quadrupled up, Wells took the side pot, while Ausmus was eliminated.

"That was the most insane hand I've seen in my life," Kessler added.
