Welcome to Day 1a of the 2022 WSOP Event #51: $400 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em

The 2022 WSOP at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas continues today with the Event 51: $400 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em at 10 a.m. in the Paris and Bally’s Las Vegas. The Colossus is the lowest buy-in event at the WSOP so a huge field is expected as they all dream of bracelet glory.

There will be two starting flights with 1a on Friday, June 24 and 1b on Saturday, June 25. Players will start with 40,000 chips and will play 17 40-minute levels on Day 1 in hopes of bagging their chips. There will be a 20-minute break every three levels as well as a 75-minute dinner break after Level 12 (about 7pm).

There is one reentry available per flight. The blinds will start at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Late registration will remain until the start of Level 13 (around 8:15 p.m. after the dinner break).

The reigning champion is Russia's Anatolii Zyrin who beat a field of 9,399 entrants to claim the first-place prize of $314,705 of the $3,101,670 total prize pool as well as his second WSOP bracelet. If trends from this year's WSOP are to continue, then the entrants and prize pool will dwarf last year's numbers as Event #5: The Housewarming No-Limit Hold'em showed with its 20,080 entrants and $8,433,600 prize pool.

PokerNews will be here for all four days of action until they play down to a winner on Day 3 as well as all other events during the 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
