Big Stacks Collide as Fangayen Busts

Level 34 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Jordan Pelon
Jordan Pelon

Bayani Fangayen moved all in for 1,750,000 from early position. Action folded to chip leader Jordan Pelon in the small blind who called, as did fellow big stack Xiang Lin in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Pelon bet 2,250,000. Lin called to create a side pot as they saw the {a-Hearts} on the turn.

Both players checked as the {q-Clubs} fell on the river. Pelon this time bet 6,650,000 and Lin thought about the decision for a moment before folding.

The entire table gasped as Pelon turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for the turned full house as Fangayen showed {k-Spades}{6-Spades}.

"When did you like your hand?" a tablemate asked Pelon as his massive chip stack grew even larger.

Weaver Scores The Knockout

Level 35 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Brian Weaver
Brian Weaver

Action started when Chak Lam Tsang open-jammed from under the gun for 2,000,000. It folded to Brian Weaver in middle position who went all in over the top for 4,400,000 and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Chak Lam Tsang: {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Brian Weaver: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Tsang said before revealing his hand that he didn't look at his cards before jamming. The flop brought a sweat when it came {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, but the turn {9-Diamonds} and river {10-Diamonds} sealed the deal for Weaver as he eliminated Tsang and gained more chips to his growing stack.

More than half the level went by without any all ins before David Jackson and Vitor Abreu tangled in a pot.

Jackson raised to 3,000,000 from middle position before Abreu shoved in the cutoff. Action folded back to Jackson, who snap-called.

Vitor Abreu: {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
David Jackson: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Abreu picked up some outs to a straight or a chop as the board came {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, but he missed the {5-Diamonds} river to hit the rail in 20th place.

Gabriel Andrade

Paul Hizer raised to 4,000,000 and Gabriel Andrade called all in.

Gabriel Andrade: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Paul Hizer: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Andrade took the lead on the {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop with his set of eights and was a big favorite to double his short stack as the {9-Spades} came on the turn.

The river brought the {a-Spades} to give Hizer a set of aces and knock out Andrade in a set over set cooler.

A few hands earlier at this table, Jamey McKay got his last big blind in the middle against Samuel Laskowitz with {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} against {a-}{k-} but didn't improve as Laskowitz won the pot with ace-high.
