Steve Zolotow
Steve Zolotow

Steve Zolotow was seen with a big stack and a raise to 45,000 chips in front of him from under the gun.

Only the big blind called, and on a flop of {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Zolotow continued for 50,000.

His opponent folded sending a pot to Zolotow that puts him over the 1,000,000 chip mark.

Christopher Bowen

Christopher Bowen had called the button's all in of 111,000 from the small blind and after the big blind folded cards were tabled.

Opponent: {q-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Christopher Bowen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board was favorable for Bowen, who held on the {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board, to move him closer to the million-chip mark.

Houle Rivers Straight Flush Over Full House

Level 19 : 10,000/15,000, 10,000 ante

Donna Houle was just involved in one of the craziest hands of the tournament when she was all in on a flop of {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} against an opponent, with her tournament life at risk.

Donna Houle: {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The {j-Spades} turn gave her opponent a full house, but with just 2 outs, Houle hit the miracle {7-Hearts} on the river for the straight flush to double up and stay alive.

Michalek's Kings Do The Job

Level 19 : 10,000/15,000, 10,000 ante

Norman Michalek, who started the day on just 143,000 is now around the 600,000 chip mark; quite the upswing from the start of the day.

On a board of {7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} Michalek bet 100,000 from middle position versus his big blind opponent.

The opponent called and Michalek flipped over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for top boat and shipped the sizeable pot

Horwitz and Ayers Chop The Bubble ($400)

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 10,000 ante

Scott Ayers and Mackenzie Horwitz are the bubble people of Event #54.

PokerNews caught Horwitz's hand, where he was all in under the gun for his last 6,000 and was three-ways against two opponents on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The other two players got their money in too and Horwitz's {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} was in bad shape against the {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of his opponents and was eliminated as the board ran out {3-Spades} and {5-Spades}. The second shortest stack had the flopped boat and thus doubled through the other player.

Mackenzie, known as Mac was playing for his brother, a veteran who sadly passed at 40 years old. The Alaskan native said he's so happy he got to cash, even if it's for $400, to play his first ever event in his brother's memory.

In another hand, Scott Ayers was eliminated also and thus will chop the min-cash with Horwitz and also receive $400.

All remaining players are now in the money.
