Kicker Plays for Team Spitale

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Franco Spitale - Martin Pochat
Franco Spitale - Martin Pochat

On a heads- up flop of {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Franco Spitale of Team Spitale and Gabriel Ramos of Team Vankeuren were battling it out for the already sizeable pot of 300,000. After Ramos checked to him, Spitale bet 100,000, which Ramos called.

On the {6-Spades} turn, Ramos check-called again, this time a little bigger for 375.000.

The river {5-Clubs} saw the action go check-check. Ramos tabled {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of aces but then Spitale showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a pair of aces, but with an eight kicker. Ramos was shipped the pot and taht boosted Team Spitale's chip count to 2,200,000.

Gabriel Ramos

Curtis Knight of Team Knight limped in the small blind and Gabriel Ramos of Team Vankeuren checked his option.

The dealer fanned a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Knight led out 90,000. Ramos thought about it for a few moments before raising to 250,000. Knight moved all in and Ramos snap-called his stack of 1,415,000.

Team Vankeuren: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Team Knight: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

It was the perfect trap preflop as Ramos didn't raise his pocket kings before the flop and the board ran out {3-Clubs} on the turn and the {j-Diamonds} on the river for the double.
