Baker Off to a Good Start

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

David "ODB" Baker beat Ali Eslami in a Limit 2-7 Triple Draw hand with an {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} to leave his opponent short. Soon after the game variant changed to No-Limit Hold'em and it brought another big pot on the same table.

Phil Ivey raised in the cutoff and Baker three-bet out of the small blind to get called just by Ivey. The {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop was bet by Baker and called by Ivey, with the former check-calling a bet of 130,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn. After the {8-Diamonds} river, both checked and Baker announced kings to win the pot with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

"I knew you have kings or aces, should have jammed preflop," Scott Seiver uttered and mentioned in table chat he had what appeared to be pocket nines before bickering some more prior to the next hand.

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

No-Limit Hold'em

Michael Mizrachi raised to 18,000 in the cutoff and was three-bet to 65,000 by Yuri Dzivielevski on the button.

Mizrach then came back with a four-bet to 200,000 and Dzivielevski moved all in for Mizrachi's last 639,000.

"The Grinder" called and a huge flip was brewing with the three-time PPC champion's run at a fourth title at risk.

Michael Mizrachi: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Yuri Dzivielevski: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The board of {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs} ran out clean for Mizrachi as he continues his quest for another title.

Bohlman Forces Out Negreanu

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Seven Card Stud

Daniel Negreanu: {x-}{x-} / {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {x-}
Scott Bohlman: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} / {x-}

Daniel Negreanu had gotten through a preflop reshove to rake in the pot and record the action for his vlog during NLHE. The game type then changed and Negreanu check-called a jack-high on fifth street against a three-card straight of Scott Bohlman. He check-called again on sixth street and then check-folded seventh.

Mizrachi with the "Cutest Play Ever" - Still Loses

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

No-Limit Hold'em

Michael Mizrachi raised to 20,000 and called a three-bet to 65,000 from Yuri Dzivielevski. The flop was {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Mizrachi bet 30,000. Dzivielevski called.

The turn was the {a-Spades}.

"What's the minimum bet?" asked Mizrachi, before betting 8,000. Dzivielevski called.

"That's the cutest play I've ever seen," remarked Cates as the river came the {2-Hearts}. Mizrachi again bet 8,000 and Dzivielevski called. Mizrachi showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} but the Brazilian won the pot with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

"You get points for making it cute," said Brandon Cantu as the table burst out laughing. "That was amazing."

"In No-Limit you can bet whatever you want," said Cates. "That's the cool thing about No-Limit."

Eslami Chops with Chidwick

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Scott Seiver raised to 25,000 and Ali Eslami three-bet to 107,000 on the button with a single T-1,000 chip behind. Stephen Chidwick called in the big blind and Seiver folded.

Chidwick already exposed his {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Eslami then pointed to his one chip as they headed to the {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Chidwick bet the single chip and Eslami mulled it over for five seconds before sheepishly calling all in with the ... {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}!. The {8-Hearts} turn ensured the split pot and the {10-Spades} river didn't matter.

Seven Card Stud

Scott Seiver: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} / {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} / {j-Diamonds}

Stephen Chidwick: {x-}{x-} / {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}folded on fifth street

Scott Seiver brought in and Ali Eslami completed. Stephen Chidwick and Seiver both called.

The three players checked fourth street and Eslami bet fifth street. Chidwick folded and Seiver raised and Eslami was all in.

Seiver showed {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush draw against the {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} pair of aces of Eslami. Seiver tapped the table after completing his flush on sixth street with Eslami drawing dead. Eslami had gotten to his feet by the time seventh street was dealt and was eliminated.

Baker Wins One; Chidwick Doubles

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

David "ODB" Baker raised and then called a three-bet by Scott Seiver as both checked the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop. On the {10-Hearts} turn, Baker bet for Seiver to call who had previously said in table chat "you are allowed to fold, you know ...". The {j-Clubs} river brought no major action and Baker tabled the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to win the pot.

Soon after that on the same table, Stephen Chidwick was all in with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{x-} of Jonathan Cohen. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Chidwick doubled with the flush.

Smith Gets Extra With Check-Raise on Williams

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

With approximately 100,000 in the pot on a turn board of {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Dan Smith checked from early position to David Williams on the button, who put out a bet. Smith then check-raised and Williams called.

On the river {j-Hearts}, ensuring no low hand would be possible, Smith bet and was quickly called by Williams.

Smith showed {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a full house of threes over nines and Williams mucked his hand, sending a healthy pot across the table to Smith.
