Sewell Has Quads

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Noel Hayes raised to 20,000 in the hijack and was called by Douglas Sewell in the small blind and Patrick Tardif in the big blind, who had exactly 20,000.

The flop came out {4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Sewell led out for 15,000 which Hayes called.

The turn of {6-Diamonds} saw Hayes call a second bet from Sewell, this time to the tune of 40,000.

The river {10-Hearts} saw Sewell bet 100,000 and Hayes went into the tank. After some time passed, the clock was called and Hayes quickly threw his hand away.

Patrick Tardif: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Douglas Sewell: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Tardif had rivered a flush, but it was no good against the four tens of Sewell and he scooped the pot.
