Lucky Seat Strikes Again

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

"Table seventy-seven, seat seven, is a lucky seat", Robert Tanita told PokerNews when he bet a flop of {3-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and the other two players check- called.

On the turn {2-Clubs}, the action checked through to Tanita and he bet again, this time getting one caller.

Tanita fired again on the {8-Clubs} river but his opponent was a non-believer and quickly threw in a call chip.

"I told you it was lucky", Tanita said as he rolled over {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a wheel and nut low to scoop the pot.

Nakamura Eliminated

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Tamon Nakamura bet his last 4,000 from the button on a monotone {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. A player in the small blind and a player in the cutoff each called.

Nakamura's opponents checked the {j-Hearts} turn, but on the {a-Spades} river, the small blind bet, and the cutoff begrudgingly called.

The big blind showed {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for the nut flush to claim the high.

The cutoff showed {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to claim the low half of the pot.

Nakamura showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} which would have got him a quarter of the pot, but he was counterfeited on the river.

Hellmuth Receives the Bad News

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth was in late position and three-bet an early position opener, to which that player quickly called. The flop came {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn {q-Clubs} saw a bet from the early position player which Hellmuth called.

A river {4-Clubs} once again produced a bet from the early position player and a snap-call from Hellmuth.

The sixteen-time WSOP bracelet winner was not too happy when his opponent showed him the goods of {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a rivered full house.

" Are you f****g kidding me?! " he exclaimed in classic Hellmuth fashion as he flashed aces before he threw his cards into the muck, muttering under his breath about what a "goofball play" that was.

Ali Imsirovic was all-in on the big blind facing elimination from Benny Glaser and an opponent in middle position.

With several bets in the middle on the {j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs} board, Glaser bet and got called by the player in middle position.

Glaser showed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for a winning queen-high straight and no low possible.

Imsirovic showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}, then tossed his cards into the muck as did the player in middle position.

As Imsirovic left the tournament floor, Shaun Deeb raised his hands over his head and applauded enthusiastically.

Linde Chops One Up

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Dylan Linde
Dylan Linde

With about 15,000 in the pot and multi-way action on the table, the flop came down {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

The small blind bet and received a call from the player under the gun and former mixed game champion, Dylan Linde, on the button.

The {2-Hearts} showed on the the turn which had the small blind betting again and getting called by the same two players.

The river came {8-Clubs} with another bet from the small blind, under the gun going all in with his call and Linde calling. Linde's hand {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} won the low and the high went to the small blind with {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} sending the under the gun player to the rails as he folded his hand into the muck.
