There was about 200,000 in the middle on a board and David Yu, from the hijack, put out a bet of 150,000. Aditya Rao, from the button, shoved for his last 400,000.
Aaron Frei then went over the top from the big blind and forced Yu to make a decision for his last 710,000 chips.
Yu went deep into the tank and said that he hoped to cooler somebody or make money on the side pot and made the call after nearly two minutes.
Aditya Rao:
David Yu:
Aaron Frei:
Rao had the best of it with the second-nut flush but had to dodge a lot of outs as Yu had a set of threes and Frei had two pair, with both players looking to boat up on the river.
However, the river brought the to give Rao a huge triple up while Yu won the side pot from Frei. Frei was left with just 600,000 in his stack.
Francis Anderson was nearly all in for 360,000, leaving just 5,000 chips behind. Joao Simao called.
The flop came and Anderson checked to Simao who put in the minimum bet. Anderson then announced that he was going to put in his final red chip but wanted to wait for the pay jump.
"Sorry guys, I need the extra $500 so I can go play the $777 (Event #75: $777 Lucky 7's)."
The clock was called and before Anderson could receive his ladder, the five-second count had started and Anderson called.
Francis Anderson:
Joao Simao:
Anderson was far behind and needed only a seven to stay alive. Fortunately for him, the came on the turn, drawing plenty of oohs and ahhs from the table.
The completed the board and Anderson managed to remain in the tournament.
With about 300,000 in a three-way pot on a board, Nenad Dukic put in a bet of 130,000 from under the gun. Scott Allacher called from the small blind and the big blind folded.
The came on the turn and both players checked.
On the river, Allacher went all in, covering Dukic who had only 520,000 chips behind. Dukic snap-called and turned over for the made flush.
Allacher begrudgingly turned over for king-high and Dukic took his stack up to 1,600,000 while Allacher was left with less than a half-million chips.
After taking the majority of Chris Moneymaker's chips not long ago, Andrew Robinson completed the job and eliminated the 2003 Main Event champ in a recent hand.
After Jonathan Therme raised to 60,000 in early position, Robinson three-bet to 160,000 to his immediate left. Moneymaker then moved all in from late position and everyone folded to Robinson, who called.
Chris Moneymaker:
Andrew Robinson:
The flop came , giving Moneymaker a set to take a stranglehold on the hand, but Robinson still had a gutshot Broadway draw.
Then just as he did in their previous encounter, Robinson indeed outdrew Moneymaker, drilling the on the turn.
The river couldn't save Moneymaker, and despite holding large percentage leads in back to back hands with Robinson, he dropped both to be sent to the rail.
