Kendall Making Progress

Level 8

Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better

The hijack bet 800 and was called in the cutoff by British poker legend Tony "Tikay" Kendall.

The hijack bet 1,000 on a flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and was called by Kendall.

The {k-Spades} on the turn was checked by both players and the {4-Diamonds} encouraged Kendall to bet 4,000 on the river. The hijack threw their cards in the muck and the former Sky Poker Grandad adds to his stack.

Margulies Hits One-Outer to Score Huge Pot

Level 7

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

David Margulies just alerted the PokerNews team to a hand that's seen him acquire one of the bigger stacks in the room.

As told by Margulies, on a flop of {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, he bet 2,200 into two opponents and was called in both spots.

On a board-pairing {7-Diamonds} turn, he bet 6,100 and was called by only one opponent.

Margulies continued firing on the {5-Diamonds} river, betting the pot, and he was met with a re-pot by his opponent who was all in for approximately 30,000.

Margulies called and tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, while his opponent showed {a-}{a-}{j-}{5-}.

Margulies had been out-flopped set over set, but drilled quads on the turn, and along with his live deuce, scooped the huge pot.

Yockey Doubles

Level 7

Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better

The chips were in the middle on a flop {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} with Bryce Yockey on the button at risk for 24,800 against the big blind.

Bryce Yockey: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

The big blind was ahead with two pair, but Yockey went runner-runner as the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} completed the board to give Yockey a better two pair and double up.

Matsumoto Builds with a Bustout

Level 7

Big O

David Matsumoto was up against a short-stacked opponent's all-in bet on the flop with the board reading {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Matsumoto showed {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for trip queens, while his opponent held {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} for queens and tens with a gunshot Broadway draw.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Matsumoto filled up on the turn to add approximately 4,000 chips to his stack.

While out in the field a PokerNews live reporter overheard Daniel Negreanu shout over to Randy Ohel on the adjacent table.

"Hey, Randy!" Negreanu called, "I had a dream last night that you won a bracelet"

Ohel responded, "That is weird, you are the second person this summer to say that I have won a bracelet in their dreams."

"It was so vivid I almost congratulated you just now" replied Negreanu.

"Let's hope it's not a dream and it is a premonition!" joked Ohel.
