Nguyen Rebuilding With Elimination of David

Level 23
Men Nguyen
Men Nguyen

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

The last of Jesse David's 130,000 chips went into the middle on a flop of {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts} versus Men Nguyen.

Jesse David: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Men Nguyen: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}

David had top two pair with a gutshot Broadway draw, while Nguyen had a king-high straight and a flush draw with his two baby spades.

David made his Broadway on the turn {j-Diamonds} to take the lead, but Nguyen's flush came in on the river to eliminate David and rebuild his stack to 600,000.

Taylor Sends Friedman into the Blender

Level 23
Esther Taylor
Esther Taylor

Big O

Picking action up on a {3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, James Chen checked in the small blind and Esther Taylor tossed out a bet of 10,000, saying "small, small."

Adam Friedman called in the cutoff and Chen called as well.

On the {j-Clubs} turn, Chen checked again, and along with another declaration of "small, small," Taylor bet 50,000. Friedman called again, but Chen folded.

The {10-Clubs} came on the river, and Taylor was no longer betting "small," as she put forward a bet of 105,000.

Friedman then went deep into the tank, with Taylor teasing him, by pretending to toss her cards at him, singing, and saying amongst other things "after all these years, you owe me."

Friedman apologized to the table for his lengthy contemplation then glanced at Taylor, who playfully said "Don't look at me, I'm always smiling. You can't get a read on me!"

After a couple of playful bursts of "c'mon!" from Taylor, Friedman begrudgingly folded, suggesting that he folded a king-high flush.

Taylor flashed the {a-Clubs} and tossed her cards to the dealer as the pot was pushed her way.

Weisman Eliminated By Nguyen

Level 23

Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better

All the chips were in the middle on the {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop with Dylan Weisman in the big blind at risk for 320,000 against Anthony Nguyen in the hijack.

Dylan Weisman: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Anthony Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Weisman had the nut low draw with a pair of sevens while Nguyen had the nut flush draw and a pair of fives.

The {k-Hearts} turn gave Nguyen a better pair, but the {k-Diamonds} on the river gave Nguyen the flush and there was no qualifying low hand which sent Weisman to the rail and puts Nguyen to nearly 1,000,000 chips.

Weisman Knocks Out Kostyniuk

Level 23

Big O

It was a seven-way family flop of {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and under the gun, Jeffrey Kostyniuk bet the pot for 50,000. Only Dylan Weisman in the small blind made the call.

The {9-Hearts} landed on the turn and Kostyniuk moved all in for 66,000 and was called instantly by Weisman.

Jeffrey Kostyniuk: {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Dylan Weisman: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Kostyniuk flopped fours full of tens but Weisman hit a better boat on the turn with tens full of nines. Kostyniuk needed the case four to stay alive, but the {j-Hearts} was dealt on the river sending Kostyniuk to the pay cage.

Weisman indicated he would have folded preflop if it wasn't a family pot.

Men Nguyen
Men Nguyen

Big O

All the chips were in the middle on the flop of {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} with Michelle Roth in the big blind at risk for 376,000 against Men Nguyen in the small blind.

Michelle Roth: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Men Nguyen: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Both players hit a nut low, but Nguyen had two pair with sevens and threes and Roth had a wheel wrap.

The {8-Spades} on the turn gave Roth a flush draw, but the {2-Clubs} on the river improved Roth to a wheel and scooped the entire pot to catapult them to the top half of the leaderboard.
