Daniel Strelitz: {7-}{2-}/{2-}{4-}{5-}{6-}/{j-}

Strelitz' seven-six could best Hori's eight-six and Hori exited the tournament.

Dalessandro Moves in Blind

Level 22 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Timothy Dalessandro: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{3-}{2-}{8-}/{x-}
Mark Gerencher: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{5-}{9-}{a-}/{x-}

Timothy Dalessandro bet on sixth street, leaving himself 12,000 behind, and Mark Gerencher called. Dalessandro put his last chips in blind before getting his last card on seventh.

Gerencher took a peak as his card and eventually called, showing {5-}{6-}{3-} for 9-6-5-3-A. "I've got an eight," Dalessandro said, turning over {a-}{8-}{4-} to take the pot.

"I guess we'll just keep passing chips back and forth," Dalessandro said to his frequent nemesis at this table.

Adam Doubles Through Baumstein

Level 22 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Scott Baumstein: {x-}{x-}/{9-}{q-}{5-}{2-}/{x-}

Scott Baumstein bet through to sixth street, with Loren Adam calling each bet.

Baumstein slowed down and checked on seventh, allowing Adam to toss in his last 28,000. Baumstein went into the tank for about a minute before calling.

Adam turned over {5-}{3-}{7-} for 8-7-5-4-3 as Baumstein had a nine-low.

"You caught perfect-perfect on that hand. How do you call on fifth," Baumstein asked after being left with crumbs.

"You wanted to saw me off. What am I supposed to do," Adam replied as he doubled up.

Braga Bets Out of Turn

Level 22 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Sergio Braga: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{k-}{2-}{5-}/{x-}
Nick Guagenti: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{j-}{2-}{3-}/{x-}
Donovan Bates: {x-}{x-}/{2-}{k-}{10-}{7-}/{x-}

Nick Guagenti bet on fourth and fifth streets, receiving calls from Donovan Bates and Sergio Braga.

On sixth street, Braga led out and both opponents called. Braga led out again on seventh.

"Why's he betting," Scott Baumstein asked, noting that Guagenti should be acting first and that Braga had acted out of turn the last two streets.

Guagenti and Bates both checked and Braga kept his bet in the middle. Both opponents called and Braga showed {a-}{4-}{7-} for 6-5-4-2-A to scoop the pot.

"There's a reason he bet out of turn. He had a monster," Guagenti said after the hand.

"Sorry buddy," Braga replied, tapping the felt while collecting the chips.

Samantha Abernathy

Level 11 of the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event was unkind to 888poker ambassador Sam Abernathy, who lost a brutal bad beat to exit poker's world championship event.

During the first level of Day 3, with around 110,000 in chips and the blinds at 1,000/2,500, Abernathy picked up {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and was poised to earn a valuable double-up, perhaps putting her in position to make a run at the money, and then potentially deeper as the tournament progressed. But her opponent, Mike Gao, also had {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, so a chop pot seemed inevitable.
