Michalak Calls with King-High

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

With about 870,000 in the pot the turn read {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Richard Aronow put out a bet of 300,000. Jakub Michalak took some time before dropping the call across the line.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board and Aronow bet 400,000. Michalak gave it about 30 seconds before making the call. There was a slight pause as nobody was showing their hand and Aronow pushed his cards face down surrendering the pot. Michalak showed even though he didn't have to, tabling {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for king-high.

The {q-Diamonds} came out on the river. Sova checked and Wang fired 150,000, causing Sova to fold.

Sluzinski's Tens Run Over By Hammermuller's Wheel

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Jeff Boski
Jeff Boski

Jeff "Boski" Sluzinski raised in the middle position before Konstantin Hammermuller shoved for 550,000 in the small blind. Sluzinski called.

Konstantin Hammermuller: {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Jeff Sluzinski: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Sluzinski was looking to dodge the one overcard and the {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop looked promising. The {2-Spades} hit the turn, giving Hammermuller a gutshot straight draw to go with his ace and the {4-Hearts} river gave a Hammermuller a wheel to double.

Five-Time WSOP Champion Cunningham Smashes Queen on the Turn to Survive

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Allen Cunningham
Allen Cunningham

In a heads-up pot, the flop read {j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades} and with about 225,000 in the middle, the five-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner was faced with a bet of 60,000 from Ariel Albilia before putting in the check-raise to 180,000.

Albilia took a few seconds before announcing all in and Cunningham snap-called his stack of 380,000.

Allen Cunningham: {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Ariel Albilia: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Cunningham flopped a pair but was in trouble against Albilia's top pair. However, the {q-Spades} turn gave him the lead with two pair and the {9-Spades} river meant he was able to stay at the table to continue the battle for his sixth bracelet.
