Badziakouski Takes From Kruse

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action was heads up with nearly 50,000 in the pot and {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} on the board when Mikita Badziakouski checked from under the gun and Max Kruse checked back from the next seat over. The river was {10-Spades}.

Badziakouski fired 12,000 on the river and Kruse took a few moments before tossing in the chips to call. Badziakouski turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a pair of queens to take the pot while Kruse tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Vieira Puts the Pressure On

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Aaron Van Blarcum raised from under the gun to 6,000 and saw three callers, including Joao Vieira in the big blind.

All four players saw a flop of {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Action checked in flow to Van Blarcum, who continued for 17,000. That bet got all the way back around to Vieira , who elected to check-raise to 55,000. After some thought, Van Blarcum made the call, leaving just under 100,000 in his stack.

The turn came the {q-Hearts} and Vieira used a time bank while he thought about his next move. He landed on a shove, and went all in, which covered Van Blarcum.

After a minute or so, Van Blarcum released his cards and Vieira collected his pot.

Daniel Negreanu Doesn't Need His Time Banks

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Action picked up on the river between Alex Foxen and Daniel Negreanu. The board read {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts} and there was about 60,000 in the pot.

Foxen had slid a stack of chips into the middle, enough to cover Negreanu, who had about 51,000 remaining.

Daniel started to reach for a time bank, but instead reached for his chips.

"Oh, I call," said Negreanu.

Foxen just showed the {k-Diamonds} and Negreanu rolled over {10-Clubs}{j-Spades} for flopped top pair.

"I don't know why I was going to waste a time bank, I'm always [expletive] calling."

Ho Sent to the Rail by Kaverman

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Maria Ho went all in from early position for about three big blinds, looking to run up the short stack.

Daniel Negreanu raised from the cutoff to 14,000.

"You're just raising because you should have won the last one," said Ho.

Negreanu wouldn't be Ho's biggest concern, though, as Byron Kaverman went all in from the small blind and had them both covered. Negreanu got out of the way and cards were tabled.

Kaverman: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Ho: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

"No!" said Ho, seeing she was in bad shape.

"You would have been in great shape against me," chimed in Negreanu.

The board ran out {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Kaverman's tens held up.

Vieira Doubles Through Dzivielevski

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joao Vieira raised to 4,500 from the button and Yuri Dzivielevski three-bet to 16,000 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Vieira tossed in chips to call.

The flop was {3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Dzivielevski continued for 7,500. Vieira called and the turn was {q-Spades}.

Dzivielevski checked the turn and Vieira tossed out a T-25,000 chip. Dzivielevski called and the river was {6-Clubs}.

Dzivielevski checked once again and Vieira shoved his last 66,000 into the middle. After a few moments of thought, Dzivielevski slid out the calling chips and Vieira turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for the Broadway straight. Dzivielevski flashed the losing hand before he tossed it in the muck while Vieira stacked up the early double.

Teska Cracks Pocket Aces

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Roger Teska
Roger Teska

Action was heads up after a preflop battle between Maria Ho and Roger Teska brought all the chips into the middle. Teska was at risk for just under the starting stack and he was barely covered by Ho. Both were recent entrants into the event.

Roger Teska: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Maria Ho: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the flopped Broadway straight was good enough for Teska to crack Ho's aces and leave her with crumbs.

Dimov Makes the Big River Call

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ognyan Dimov
Ognyan Dimov

Three players saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades} with about 28,000 in the middle.

Ognyan Dimov led for 18,000 from the small blind and saw callers in both Johan Guilbert and Joseph Cheong.

The {5-Spades} hit the turn and Dimov kept up the pressure with a bet of 41,000. Again, both other players made the call and the pot was growing into a big one.

The river was the {a-Hearts}, completing the front door flush, and now Dimov checked. Guilbert also checked. Cheong thought about it, and decided to go all in for 105,000, barely covering Dimov.

Dimov did flick in a call and Guilbert folded.

Cheong showed the {10-Spades}{7-Spades} for a pair and missed flush draw. Dimov flipped {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for rivered top pair and the win.
