"I'm the Best Short-Stack Player in the Country"

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Sam Rosengarten was a short stack but is on the comeback path.

Three players limped before him and Rosengarten in the big blind moved all in for 11,000. The first limper went all-in over the top and the rest folded.

Sam Rosengarten: {k-}{k-}{q-}{3-}
Early Position: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {q-}{q-Clubs}{7-}{a-}{5-} giving Rosengarten the double up.

In another hand there was a middle position raised to 4,000 and Rosengarten called in the small blind. The big blind also came along.

The players checked down the whole way on the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Rosengarten had the winner as he showdowned {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for two pair.

Rosengarten declared "I'm the best short stack player in the country" and said he was going to make it to the final table.

Hsu Shows Up with the Goods

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a three way flop of {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, the big blind checked and the under-the-gun player bet 14,000, which Loeon Hsu on the button and the big blind called.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and the big blind check again to the under-the-gun player who shipped it all in for 35,500. Hsu just called and the big blind folded.

Hsu then quickly showed{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} for quad eights, which left his opponent drawing dead as he flashed {6-}{6-} for a small full house and he mucked as the meaningless {k-Hearts} came on the river.
