Petrangelo Doubles Again

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo has found himself all in and at risk several times already but on each occasion has managed to survive. Wesley Fei opend from middle position and Petrangelo moved all in from the cutoff. Fei made the call to put Petrangelo at risk.

Nick Petrangelo: {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Wesley Fei: {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Petrangelo had his opponent dominated and was in a good spot to score the double. The {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop kept Petrangelo ahead but did give Fei a gutshot. It did not come in on the {7-Spades} turn or {q-Diamonds} river, ensuring Petrangelo gets to keep his seat a while longer.

Jason Koon moved all in from middle position for his last 225,000 and was called by Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff.

Jason Koon: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Dongwuk Moon raised to 40,000 from under the gun and Alexandros Theologis three-bet to 135,000 from the middle position. The action folded back to Moon who made the call.

Chidwick Flops Two Pair

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Fedor Holz raised to 40,000 from the hijack and Stephen Chidwick made the call on the button while Matthew Sabia defended his big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Sabia checked, Holz continued with a bet of 55,000 and only Chidwick made the call.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, Holz slowed down and checked. Chidwick bet 70,000 for Holz to make the call.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds}. Holz checked for the final time. Chidwick took some time, used a time bank, and then bet 175,000 for Holz to quickly call. Chidwick tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for the flopped two pair for Holz to muck his hand.

"Nice flop," Holz commented while paying out the full bet.

Vieira Puts Beat On Seidel To Survive

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Erik Seidel opened to 50,000 on the button and Joao Vieira moved all in out of the big blind. Seidel quickly called with the bigger stack.

Joao Vieira: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Erik Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Vieira was in bad shape, likely needing to pair his kicker to survive. He vaulted into the lead after the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and held on the {k-Diamonds} turn and {9-Spades} river to secure the double and leave Seidel short.

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Punnat Punsri opened to 50,000 on the button and Brek Schutten moved all in out of the small blind. Galen Hall called off for his tournament life from the big blind while Punsri got out of the way.

Galen Hall: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Brek Schutten: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Hall had his opponent dominated and looked set to get a full double. That is exactly what happened following the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades} runout, leaving Schutten short.
