Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

With the board reading {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} Erik Seidel was all in and at risk against Dan Colpoys. Seidel held {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top pair but it was no good as Colpoys revealed he had {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the straight. The dealer was kind enough to inform PokerNews that all the money had gotten into the middle on the turn.

Hall Doubles With Big Slick

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Punnat Punsri opened to 50,000 on the button and Brek Schutten moved all in out of the small blind. Galen Hall called off for his tournament life from the big blind while Punsri got out of the way.

Galen Hall: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Brek Schutten: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Hall had his opponent dominated and looked set to get a full double. That is exactly what happened following the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades} runout, leaving Schutten short.

Vieira Puts Beat On Seidel To Survive

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Erik Seidel opened to 50,000 on the button and Joao Vieira moved all in out of the big blind. Seidel quickly called with the bigger stack.

Joao Vieira: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Erik Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Vieira was in bad shape, likely needing to pair his kicker to survive. He vaulted into the lead after the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and held on the {k-Diamonds} turn and {9-Spades} river to secure the double and leave Seidel short.

Chidwick Flops Two Pair

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Fedor Holz raised to 40,000 from the hijack and Stephen Chidwick made the call on the button while Matthew Sabia defended his big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Sabia checked, Holz continued with a bet of 55,000 and only Chidwick made the call.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, Holz slowed down and checked. Chidwick bet 70,000 for Holz to make the call.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds}. Holz checked for the final time. Chidwick took some time, used a time bank, and then bet 175,000 for Holz to quickly call. Chidwick tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for the flopped two pair for Holz to muck his hand.

"Nice flop," Holz commented while paying out the full bet.

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Punnat Punsri opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and was called by Brian Rast out of the big blind.

Rast checked on a flop of {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and then called when Punsri continued for 25,000.

Both players checked through the {6-Diamonds} turn to the {5-Clubs} river where Rast led out for 150,000. Punsri gave the matter some consideration but ended up deciding on a fold to send more chips Rast's way.

Theologis Makes Moon Fold

Level 11 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Dongwuk Moon raised to 40,000 from under the gun and Alexandros Theologis three-bet to 135,000 from the middle position. The action folded back to Moon who made the call.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, Moon check-called the 80,000 continuation-bet of Theologis.

They both checked through the {6-Clubs} on the turn to the {k-Clubs} on the river. Moon checked for the final time. Theologis took a few seconds but then opted to barrel a bet of 320,000 over the line for Moon to consider it for a bit but fold in the end.
