Nguyen Scores Double Knockout

Level 26 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Jesse Sylvia
Jesse Sylvia

Jesse Sylvia opened to 285,000 from under the gun, leaving himself just 75,000 behind. Nikhil Gera in the cutoff then shoved only for Huy Nguyen in the small blind to re-jam with the covering stack. Sylvia called off for his tournament life to setup a three-way all in.

Jesse Sylvia: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Nikhil Gera: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Huy Nguyen: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Nguyen had both of his opponents dominated and looked to set to scoop a huge pot. The {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} provided a massive sweat, with Sylvia picking up flush and straight draws. The {8-Hearts} turn changed nothing with the river bricking out {10-Hearts} to send both Sylvia and Gera to the rail and bring the tournament to the three table redraw.

Brar On Fire

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jaspal Brar
Jaspal Brar

Jaspal Brar opened to 60,000 on the button and Francisco Benitez defended out of the big blind.

Benitez checked on a flop of {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and then called when Brar continued for 30,000.

Action checked through the {8-Diamonds} turn to the {7-Clubs} river where action again went check-check. Brar showed down {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, good enough to scoop the pot.

The very next hand a player in early position opened to 350,000, leaving himself just 40,000 behind. Brar in the cutoff re-shoved only to see the button player call off. The blinds got out of the way and the initial raiser made the call to setup a three-way all in.

Early Position Player: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Button Player: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Jaspal Brar: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The early position player and the button were essentially involved in a flip with Brar needing a lot of help to win the pot. The {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop immediately propelled the early position player into a huge lead with nothing changing on the {q-Hearts} turn. Brar found a miracle, however, nailing the {9-Spades} on the river to take down an enormous, in the process eliminating both of his opponents.

Escossi Crosses a Million

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Vinicius Escossi moved all in from early position and was called by Mark Leblanc in middle position for approximately 400,000, which was covered by Escossi.

Mark Leblanc: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Vinicius Escossi: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, giving Escossi a full house and the win to boost his stack over a million.
