Davis Makes Right Call

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up with 20,000 in the pot and a board of {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The late position player fired for 10,000. Mark Davis, in middle position, took a minute or two, but eventually mustered up the call.

His opponent sheepishly announced "queen high", turning over {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Davis excitedly flipped over {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, good enough to scoop the pot and put Davis over the 100,000 chip mark.

The river came the {10-Clubs} and Baghdalian checked over to Altman, who sat motionless for a few moments before tapping the table.

Kazazian Turns a Set on D'Ambrosio

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

There was an early position raise to 500 with calls from Harry Kazazian in the cutoff and Josh Arieh on the button. Jimmy D'Ambrosio in the small blind then popped it up to 2,500.

"I think you guys are full of s***," he said.

Only Kazazian called to see the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

"One non-believer huh?" said D'Ambrosio.

D'Ambrosio checked and Kazazian bet 2,000. D'Ambrosio called.

"Be careful Harry," said D'Ambrosio. "You're behind."

The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and D'Ambrosio led out for 200, which Kazazian answered with a raise to 3,000.

D'Ambrosio called and the river brought the {q-Diamonds}. The action went check-check and Karazain showed {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a set of treys and D'Ambrosio mucked.

"I was right," he said. "You were full of s*** with your threes preflop."

"I was semi-invested," quipped Kazazain.

Two Barrels Good For Schumacher

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Johan Schumacher opened to 600 from early position and was called by the small and big blind players.

Action checked through the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop to the {3-Hearts} turn where both blinds checked once again. Schumacher made a delayed continuation of 1,200, getting a fold from the small blind while the big blind called.

The big blind player checked for a third time on the board pairing {3-Spades} river and Schumacher, unwilling to go to a cheap showdown, pushed 6,000 into the middle. That was enough to get a fold from his opponent and send the pot the Belgian's way.
