Cutler's Quads Cut Down Two Monsters

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Evan Cutler
Evan Cutler

Evan Cutler raised from under the gun to 1,000 with about 12,000 behind. Yin Wu flatted to his left before Terry Shortland bumped it up to 3,500 in middle position.

Back on Cutler, he moved all in for about 13,000. Both We and Shortland made the call.

The flop came out {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Cutler watched the action as his tournament life hung in the balance. Wu went all in, having Shortland well covered. Shortland made the call.

Evan Cutler: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Yin Wu: {k-Diamonds}{k-}
Terry Shortland: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Cutler flopped a set, Shortland flopped the nut flush, Wu's slowplayed kings were left drawing very thin, and Cutler needed a board pair to keep his tournament hopes alive.

The turn {q-Hearts} didn't change anything, but the river {10-Spades} changed everything. Cutler made quads to more than triple up and get back to a healthy stack.

Details of the hand were reported by several members at the table after the fact.

Heath Effectively Jams River

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Ben Heath
Ben Heath

Picking up the action after the flop, Ben Heath in late position was involved in a hand with a player from under the gun. With the board reading {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} the under the gun player led out and was met by a raise from Heath. After some consideration the under the gun player made the call.

Both players checked through the {10-Clubs} turn to the board pairing {10-Spades} river. The under the gun player checked once more and Heath moved the vast majority of his stack into the middle, leaving himself just 100 behind. His opponent went into the tank, counting out his stack and doing the classic re-peek multiple times. Eventually he decided on a fold to send the large pot the British pro's direction.

Adkins Doubles in Massive Cooler

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Doug Adkins bet 8,000 on a flop of {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Yulian Bogdanov called.

The turn came the {6-Diamonds} and Adkins immediately announced he was all in for 51,100.

"I can't fold. I can't," a frustrated Bogdanov said as he shot back in his chair. He eventually committed most of his stack, showing {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for the set.

Adkins, though, had {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the nut straight and held on as the river came the {2-Spades}.

"I knew when you called that 8,000 you had a set," Adkins said as he stacked up the massive pot.

Lothian Takes From Veksler

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three players went to a {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop having each contributed 3,700 to the pot preflop. An early position player checked and Pavlo Veksler bet 4,200 in middle position. Robert Lothian called in the cutoff, while the early position player folded. Both Veksler and Lothian checked the {9-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river.

Veksler revealed {a-}{k-}, but it was no good as Lothian tabled {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} and claimed the pot.

Top Pair Good for Hanson

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Bart Hanson
Bart Hanson

After a raise to 1,200 from early position and a call from late position, Bart Hanson put in a three bet to 4,700. The original aggressor called while the other player got out of the way.

On the {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Hanson continued for 3,500, earning a relatively quick call from his opponent. The pair checked through the {k-Diamonds} turn and the {6-Clubs} river. Hanson's opponent showed pocket eights, while Hanson showed {a-}{10-}, good for top pair top kicker, more than enough to bust the opponent's pocket pair, giving the pot to Hanson.

Michael Banducci
Michael Banducci

The flop read {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} with four players in a hand. Michael Banducci bet 3,500. The button called, the small blind folded and an early position player called also.

Three-way action went to the turn which was the {4-Spades}. Banducci bet 8,000 which was enough to clear the flotsam and jetsam and win himself another pot to move his stack close to the 300,000 mark,

Jordison Gets Paid With Rockets

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Angela Jordison three-bet to 4,600 from middle position and the original raiser in early position called.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and action checked to Jordison, who bet another 3,500. Her opponent called to see the {j-Spades} turn.

Both players checked before the {6-Hearts} fell on the river. The early position player checked once more and Jordison threw out a bet of 8,000.

Her opponent went into the tank for about two minutes before he made a reluctant call. Jordison turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and dragged in the pot.
