Sanchez Gets a Fold

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player opened to 1,100 from early position and was called by Diego Sanchez from one seat over. The remaining players got out of the way to setup heads-up action.

The preflop raiser continued for 1,600 after the {5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and Sanchez made the call.

The {3-Clubs} turn saw the early position player continue his aggression with another bet, this time sizing up to 3,200. Again, Sanchez called.

On the {6-Hearts} river the early position player slowed down, checking to Sanchez who, unwilling to go to a cheap showdown, pushed 6,700 into the middle. His opponent thought for some time before deciding to fold, sending a sizable pot Sanchez's direction.

Aces Hold for Stevens

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Four players paid 1,200 to see the {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. Action checked to Chris Lambros, on the button, who fired for 2,000. The big blind called, before the late position player folded. Kevin Stevens, in the cutoff, made the call, giving three way action to the turn.

All three players checked the {2-Hearts} turn, before the big blind fired for 3,000 on the {7-Clubs} river. Both Lambros and Stevens called. The big blind showed {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top pair. Stevens turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for an overpair, and Lambros tossed his cards towards the muck.

Brown, Much to His Surprise, Doubles

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three players saw a flop of {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and put in 11,500. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, the big blind bet 25,000 before Michael Brown raised all in for a little more from early position. Another player gave a deep sigh before folding, while the big blind called.

"Flop a flush did you," Brown said.

"I did," the big blind replied.

"Me too," Brown added dejectedly as he got up from his seat to leave while turning over {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

"Oh, then you win. I have a straight flush draw, though," his opponent said as he showed {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. The {9-Hearts} on the river was safe for Brown and he remained alive in the tournament.

Singh Calls Abramovich's Hand

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Bernardo Abramovich three-bet to 3,000 from the button and received calls from three opponents, including Raminder Singh under the gun and Hristivoje "ALLinPav" Pavlovic in early position.

The flop came {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and action checked around to Abramovich who threw out a bet of 5,500. Singh gave it some thought before folding, while Pavlovic and another opponent in middle position quickly joined him in the muck.

"Show the aces. One hundred percent aces. Nothing else is possible," Singh said and, sure enough, Abramovich turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Loosli Flushes Away Opponent

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Sylvain Loosli
Sylvain Loosli

With over 20,000 in the middle on a {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board, Sylvain Loosli checked in early position, and a player in middle position moved all in for 6,200. The button player folded and Loosli quickly called.

Opponent: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Sylvain Loosli: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Both players turned a flush, but it was Loosli with the superior one. The meaningless {5-Clubs} completed the board and the Frenchman collected the pot, while his opponent hit the rail.
