"Frank the Tank" Out of Gas

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Frank stepuchin
Frank stepuchin

Richard Bai raised to 3,500 from middle position before Frank Stepuchin pushed his last 37,000 in the middle.

"I like it so far," Stepuchin said as Bai didn't call right away. Bai eventually did call, showing {a-Spades}{q-Spades}, as Stepuchi turned over {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

"Fair, fair, fair," Stepuchin added as the dealer turned over the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop, giving Bai two pair. "Oops," he continued, his tournament life now at risk.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Bai knocked out "Frank the Tank," who wished the table luck before checking his watch to see if he can still make a prior appointment.

Aces for Aylar

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Aylar Lie
Aylar Lie

Preflop action had Davide Suriano raising preflop to 5,000 from middle position. The cutoff called and Aylar Lie in the small blind re-raised to 20,000. Suriano moved all in for around 35,000, the cutoff folded and Lie called.

Aylar Lie: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Davide Suriano: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic race of aces versus kings and the former bracelet winner needed some help to come out ahead. The board came down {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} but unfortunately for Suriano, Lie's aces held up to take down the pot and send him to the rail.

Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

Jimmy D'Ambrosio has sent another two players to the rail.

He recounted to PokerNews that he knocked out Andy Philachack with queen-jack against pocket tens preflop, in a rematch of a previous encounter.

He also knocked out another tablemate who shoved for 26,000 and D'Ambrosio called with seven-six holding a big stack. He turned two pair and sent the short stack to the rail who was holding ace-king suited.

"It's the toughest big blind in town," he said. "They are all on notice they can bust at any moment."

The TV cameras were focused on him as PN left, and he holds a big stack heading into the last level of the night.

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ryan Depaulo
Ryan Depaulo

Aaron Van Blarcum raised to 6,000 in early position and was then three-bet by poker vlogger Ryan Depaulo to 15,000. After action folded around, Van Blarcum 4-bet shoved for 50,000 more and Depaulo snap-called, putting Van Blarcum at risk.

Aaron Van Blarcum: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Ryan Depaulo: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

"NIce hand," Van Blarcum told Depaulo.

"I accept your 'nice hand'," Depaulo replied.

The board on the turn was {3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} with Van Blarcum in the lead, but the river was not kind as the {a-Hearts} hit the felt.

"Yeah!!" Depaulo shouted emphatically as he punched the air.

"You got pretty emotional there, Ryan," someone at the table joked.

"Of course I got emotional, I just won a huge flip in the Main Event, what do you expect?" said the 2021 WSOP parking lot bracelet winner.

Kulev Hits Combo Draw on River to Double Up

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

With 35,000 in the middle on a {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades} board, Alex Kulev, from the big blind, put in a bet of 16,500.

His opponent, from the small blind, put Kulev all in for 90,000 total.

Kulev then went into the tank for a couple of minutes before coming out with a call.

Alex Kulev: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Kulev's top pair was well behind the big blind's set of sixes. However, he still had a 25% chance to hit his flush or his straight.

Luckily for Kulev, the {j-Diamonds} arrived on the river to double him up and take him to over 200,000.

Franco Gasparini opened for 3,500 from under the gun and the big blind called.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} and Gasparini continued for 3,000. The big blind called.

The {10-Hearts} arrived on the turn and both players tapped the table.

On the {10-Clubs} river, the big blind threw in 11,000 and Gasparini snap-called and turned over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. The big blind meekly turned over his {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} bluff and Gasparini went over the half-million mark.

D'Ambrosio Continues to Bamboolze the Table; Chops Aces vs. Aces

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

Jimmy D'Ambrosio's stack continues to grow late in the night and he's now nearing half a million.

There was a raise to 5,000 and both John Dolan called from the hijack and D'Ambrosio from the big blind.

On the {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Dolan and he fired out 6,000. Only D'Ambrosio called.

"Me and you Mr. Dolan," he said.

The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and D'Ambrosio took the lead with a bet of 18,500. Dolan hesitated and then conceded the pot.

On the next hand, the player on D'Ambrosios' right opened to 4,500.

"You again?" he said.

D'Ambrosio quickly three-bet to 16,500 and next to act was Casey Carroll. He cold four-bet up to 55,000.

"Apparently he doesn't want us to play," said D'Ambrosio to the original raiser. "All in."

Carroll snap-called but both players were holding pocket aces. The runout changed nothing and they chopped it up.

"See he saved you," said D'Ambrosio to the original raiser.

Meanwhile, Christian Roberts and William Smith have also chipped up in the last few hours.
