Eolis Gets a Knockout

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

A preflop push from under the gun for 36,500 received one caller, the big blind and also first lady to ever cash in the main event, Wendeen Eolis.

Opponent: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Wendeen Eolis: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop came down {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} hitting top pair for Eolis right off the bat. The {8-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river offered no help to the opponent and he was sent to the rail while Eolis climbed to almost 100,000 in chips.

D'Ambrosio Continues to Bamboolze the Table; Chops Aces vs. Aces

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Jimmy D'Ambrosio
Jimmy D'Ambrosio

Jimmy D'Ambrosio's stack continues to grow late in the night and he's now nearing half a million.

There was a raise to 5,000 and both John Dolan called from the hijack and D'Ambrosio from the big blind.

On the {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Dolan and he fired out 6,000. Only D'Ambrosio called.

"Me and you Mr. Dolan," he said.

The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and D'Ambrosio took the lead with a bet of 18,500. Dolan hesitated and then conceded the pot.

On the next hand, the player on D'Ambrosios' right opened to 4,500.

"You again?" he said.

D'Ambrosio quickly three-bet to 16,500 and next to act was Casey Carroll. He cold four-bet up to 55,000.

"Apparently he doesn't want us to play," said D'Ambrosio to the original raiser. "All in."

Carroll snap-called but both players were holding pocket aces. The runout changed nothing and they chopped it up.

"See he saved you," said D'Ambrosio to the original raiser.

Meanwhile, Christian Roberts and William Smith have also chipped up in the last few hours.

Masood Makes Queens Fold

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Holtz raised in middle position before the cutoff called. The player on the button three-bet to 16,500 before Hikman Masood four-bet to 36,000.

The big blind forgot he had cards as the table waited with anticipation before he folded, Holtz and the cutoff followed suit. The button went into the tank and asked, "Will you show for PokerNews if I fold?"

Masood was unresponsive and the button showed {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} as he folded. Masood let him pick one which was the {k-Hearts} but didn't show the second card as he collected the pot.

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Ott opened to 4,000 and it folded to Domenico Gala on the button who three-bet to 12,000, which was called by Ott.

The dealer revealed a flop {k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Ott check-called Gala for 9,000. The {5-Spades} brought no betting action.

The {10-Diamonds} came on the river and after some thinking, Ott and Gala checked. Ott tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a pair of kings but the pot was sent to Gala who held {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} for top pair.
