Daniel Hachem
Daniel Hachem

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}, Jake Whitt led out with a bet of 16,100 from the big blind. With around 30,000 already in the pot, Daniel Hachem shipped all in on the button and Whitt folded, leaving himself with just over 30,000 chips.

On the next hand, Joshua Meyer opened to 2,700 in early position and Hachem three-bet to 7,500 in the cutoff. Meyer called and they went heads-up to a flop of {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Meyer checked to Hachem who continued with a bet of 9,000. Meyer check-raised to 31,700 and Hachem was forced to fold.

Lofthouse Sees Quadruple, Makes Double

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mark Lofthouse
Mark Lofthouse

Mark Lofthouse decided to get it all in with his last 13,000 and Jameson Voll quickly made the call, putting Lofthouse at risk.

Mark Lofthouse: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Jameson Voll: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

In this classic flip, Lofthouse was still in the lead with his pocket pair after the {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, but on the turn {10-Hearts} he was lightyears ahead as Voll was drawing dead,

The river {10-Spades} was just overkill as it gave him quads, completely destroying Voll's ace-queen.

"Does that mean I get paid double?"Lofthouse joked as he gathered his new chips.

Conrad Simpson was in the tank on the river with the board reading {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Georgios Sotiropoulos had bet 15,000 from the big blind and Simspon was in middle position.

"I hate this ****. Alright you know what, it was such a good line I will let you have it" said Simpson and folded.

Sotiropoulos showed just the {a-Clubs}. "Nooo you have ace-six? Don't show me that!" said Simpson as he bemoaned how bad of a player he was, despite his still decent chip stack.

Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker opened from middle position and was three-bet to 5,900 by Lucas Langsweirdt on his left. Graeme Ladd cold-called from late position.

"Alright, Mome, let's get 'em," Moneymaker told the dealer as he made the call.

The flop showed up {k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts} and Moneymaker checked it over to Langsweirdt, who continued for 7,100. Both Ladd and Moneymaker folded quickly.

"I'll tell you one thing Mome, you keep me out of trouble with that flop," said Moneymaker.

"Good fold, said Langsweirdt.

"Oh, it was a good fold. You three-bet me and get that flop, good fold. I needed a six. Ace, king, six," said Moneymaker.

George Holmes
George Holmes

Action started on the turn in a heads-up pot. George Holmes was playing from the big blind against the player on the button.

With a board reading {5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Holmes led into the button player for 12,000. The player made the call in position.

The scary and connecting {7-Clubs} landed on the turn, bringing in the front-door flush and putting a four-liner to a straight on the board.

Holmes checked, his opponent bet 23,000. Holmes thought for about 20 seconds and put in the call.

The button shook his head and revealed {q-Hearts}{9-Spades} for top pair, but Holmes showed {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for flopped two pair to take down the pot.

Joe Hachem

Joe Hachem couldn't get anything going in the first level, he found himself with about 5,000 left. He moved all in preflop and found a lone caller in Nicholas Sena-Hopkins.

Nicholas Sena-Hopkins: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Joe Hachem: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

With his clubs dominated, Hachem would need to improve to keep his tournament hopes alive this year. Unfortunately for him, the board showed up with two aces and Sena-Hopkins took down the pot to send the former champ home.

Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Chris Moneymaker opened from middle position to 1,800. Klas Krueger made the call on his immediate left and so did Andrew Gonder in the big blind.

The flop showed up {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Gonder checked, Moneymaker went for a bet of 2,500. Both Krueger and Gonder made the call.

A {6-Clubs} hit the turn and Gonder checked again. Moneymaker bet 8,000. Krueger folded, but Gonder hung around with a call.

On the {9-Diamonds} river, Gonder led out for the first time on the final street, and he did so for 13,300. Moneymaker sat back in his chair and thought for about a minute. After doing so, he tossed in two green chips for a bet of 50,000, a large portion of Gonder's stack.

Gonder took his turn in the tank, thinking for about two minutes. Eventually, he begrudgingly let his cards go and Moneymaker took it down.
